I spent the last few days doing garage sale stuff. The garage sale went well. I sold all of my Beanie Babies and TY plush, which was somewhere around 200-300 items total. I originally had them priced at 25-75 cents each, but some guy asked me if I'd cut him a deal for all of them, and I was like "........ YES, TAKE THEM AWAY". So I am now about $50

I said it already on Tumblr, but so with you on Micaiah.

I was okay with it being different! Roy and Marth and Alm and Leaf are pretty different, so okay. But. . this. . .no.

Yes, it's just the female dark mage outfit (which I hate, despite loving dark mages basically every time without fail. The dudes are still robed and covered and all.) But it's not just that. It's the posing, the helplessness, the boobs on full display, the emphasis on her body and moe squish. Just. . .no. Micaiah's not just a mage; she was a general. And it really does tick me off that the guys get these kickass, capable looking poses and expressions, and Micaiah gets. . . this.

If Eirika, Cellica, or even Lyn (who I strongly dislike) gets this kind of treatment, I'm going to be seriously disappointed. I was looking forward to all the redesigns, but now I'm just worried.

also FWIW Alm and Micaiah's are the first outfits aside from the newcomers who weren't by designers from previous FE titles. So I guess that factors in. Just hope the rest at least look a little dignified. And have noses ffs.

I was wondering about that. I had heard they had new people working on the team, but I didn't see too much of a difference (minus differences in art style) with the other character designs.

Yeah, her lack of nose is really creeping me out. As are her eyes and hair and giraffe neck. The anatomy on her face just looks wrong. I mean, I know that anime-style likes to exaggerate on the facial features, but even the position of her eyes looks wrong.

Marth's (not mask-Marth's) was done by the Tellius designer, Leaf's was by Sachiko Wada (illustrations for 8 and portrait/outfit design for 5-10). Oh! And I lied, Roy's new design isn't by anyone who's done FE before, either. My bad.

I have heard that the main designer (he previously worked on No More Heroes) didn't know he was doing them for a Fire Emblem game when he was working on them. So that might factor into the "not FE" feel people keep talking about off and on.
