Proof that Pottermore and Fire Emblem officially hate me.

Pottermore is finally open!

.......................

Except I can't get in because my confirmation email is nowhere to be found.

I checked my spam folder. No Pottermore email though I did find lots of Barnes & Noble emails, which explains why I haven't gotten any B&N coupon offers lately. For those of you who did get in, how long did it take you to get ( Read more... )

Pottermore is a bit slow, it can take up to a day sometimes.

I wasn't sure if it was actually slow or if the site just said that. Because every site says "can take up to a day", but I usually get the activation email immediately.

Waiting one more day isn't going to kill me or anything, but I got so excited when I saw it was finally open.

Let's seee I got a "Your registration to Pottermore has begun..." email almost instantly, but I didn't get my "Your Pottermore account is ready! Step this way..." email til about 17 hours later. If you didn't get the first email, I say try again, but otherwise I think you might have to wait a bit.

Yeah, I didn't get any emails.

If I don't get the email within a day or so, do I just sign up with the same email account again?

Yes, there is an FE where the hero's dad doesn't die. Eliwood's fate is never stated, so he could very well be alive after FE6. I like to think he is.

FE6 relations. Hoo boy yes. [Relations, spoilered in case you didn't want a gigantic list.] Lugh (and his brother) are Nino's kids. They and Chad were probably raised by Lucius (who's dead). You get Karla and Barte's daughter, Fir, later on, as well as getting to play as both Bartre and Karel. Wolt is Rebecca's son. Clarine and Klein are Pent and Louise's kids. Sue is the daughter of Rath (and possibly Lyn), and Dayan is the leader of the tribe that he and Guy belong to. Geese is Geitz's brother. Niime is Canas' mother, and Hugh is his son. Igrene is Hawkeye's daughter. But FE7 didn't have too many ties to FE6, as a whole, so it's not like everyone is an FE7 kid. Most aren't. Anything else you hear about is just fan theorizing.

You don't get Zephiel's motives til later, unfortunately. A lot of it doesn't come to light without the full ending, which bites.

And yeah, Pottermore took about 20 hours for me to get it. Siiigh.

I just assumed that Eliwood was going to die since the game stressed how sick he was, and since that seems to be a running theme in the FE games. That's good that he lives through the game.

Oh wow, how'd you manage to do a spoiler tag?

Thanks for the list. I was wondering about Sue. As far as Roy and Lilina are concerned, is there any official word on their mothers? I was just wondering, since you can pair up Eliwood and Hector with multiple people based on their support conversations. I'm guessing that Ninian is Roy's official mother, based on the special ending you can get in FE7?

Well, I hope Zephiel's motives are better than the revelations at the end of Radiant Dawn. I was rolling my eyes so hard at those plot twists.

Oh boy. Well, I guess that will give me something to look forward to tomorrow.

Nope - it stresses the idea that he's sick, but he doesn't die. He's actually usable as a paladin on trial maps, IIRC. (Though so is Hector, and, well, yeah.)

Neither Roy, Lilina, nor Sue get official mothers, nope. I guess I'd raise Ninian as Roy's "most canon" mom and Lyn as Lilina's, personally, but all Eliwood and Hector's marriages get additional cutscenes at the epilogue, and there's little to back up either in FE6. (There's one line about Eliwood's wife being fond of a certain Ilian flower, but you could use that for Ninian, Fiora, or even Lyn, given her connection with Florina. Lugh and Lleu/Rei/Ray/whatever's dad is up in the air, too. Official artbooks back up the "it could be any of these people", too, so you're free to imagine whoever you like without anything in the way of ship sink c:

Personally I liked Radiant Dawn's revelations, mostly because it made Ashnard seem at least marginally interesting, which, for me, FE9 just. . . did not. But I think Zephiel holds up really well, without being too puppetmaster-y or ( ... )

That's cool. My favorite is probably Hector/Lyn, but I'm okay with any of the possible pairings, really ( ... )

Pottermore is really slow ): It's probably struggling since it used to crash with just beta testers on and now it has more people ):

Sadness. I don't even care too much about the interactive parts (minus the sorting quiz, which is what, 5 questions?). I just want to read the extra info on all the characters.

Yeah it's like 7 random questions. To be honest it's not THAT interactive, it has it's bits but you'll get through it to the extra info fast, it only took me a few hours to get through the entire book
