Is it sad that the highlight of my week was a manga chapter?

At times like this, I really wish I drank coffee, or at least something with large amounts of caffeine in it. My sleep schedule is kind of messed up (that is, it's 12 hours off), and I have to get it back on track by tomorrow. I'm fixing it the only way I know how: by forcing myself to stay awake all night and all day, until I want to collapse from ( Read more... )

no one cares, first world problems, one piece, spamming my f-list, fangirling, i never shut up, complaining

"Complain, complain, complain. I never stop complaining."

You and me both. There's always something though, right?~

I'd recommend a sleep schedule, mmmyes. Find the optimum amount of sleep you need, and then set yourself times to get up and go to bed, and whether you're tired or not at the time, stick to them. I've been getting up at 6:30am for years now. My bedtime has gotten later and later as I've gotten older and seem to require less sleep - I go to bed around 10:30pm now, sometimes a bit earlier if I'm tired - but it definitely helps. Takes a while to set it up properly, though.

Some of my college friends said "You never stop complaining. Are you ever happy?", and I said "no, not really".

and whether you're tired or not at the time, stick to them
Yeah, I think this is my problem. In the past I've had trouble getting to sleep. I don't think it would qualify as insomnia, but I would lie awake for 50-90 minutes each night and nothing I tried would make sleep come any sooner. It was frustrating. I started going to bed only when I was tired to avoid that problem, but as a result, sometimes I go to bed too late and it starts a horrible snowball effect.

Yup, I've had people say that to me before as well. People just give up in the end...which, ironically, probably comes closer to making me happy than anything they might have tried beforehand to cheer me up. Ahahaha.

I have something akin to that most nights - I can't sleep before 10:30am now unless I've run myself into the ground - but I tend to just ignore it. If you lie there for long enough and don't think about much, you'll eventually drift off. The habit starts off as an awkward one to keep, but if you keep it for long enough it becomes a lot easier.

Ahhh, I hate it when that happens. I deal with sleep schedules in the same way as you do; Once it gets really fucked up I skip a night (morning/afternoon actually..) of sleep. I don't usually hallucinate though, I just fluctuate between trying to keep my eyes open and being completely slap-happy and laughing at things that aren't funny. Or at least, not as funny as I think they are...

Problem is, I really like staying up late. Night time hours are my peak hours for art and focus. I'm soooo focused at night with my work. And while I like having a day with lots of sunshine and time to get chores/errands done, I don't like having to get up early.... :( This is probably why i love summer so much. I can wake up at 3pm, still have a good 6 hours of sunlight, and get to stay up at night for optimum focus time.

I know how you feel, man. Do you have to get on the right schedule again for any particular reason? When I got a job that started at 8-9am I got really used to it, so obligations like that should help you keep the right schedule haha

I also like working on art (and homework, and actual work, and everything else) after everyone else goes to bed. That way I can work in peace without people asking me questions or trying to talk to me every 15 minutes. I'm going to try working on it while they're at work instead, but this doesn't help me on the weekends.

The reason was so I could go to the Pokemon TCG tournament today (if I feel like it; I'm not sure if I do) and so I could start hanging out with my friends again. Unlike me, they don't sleep from 4 pm to 11 pm.

Yeah, I remember those days well. I've been following it since the first few chapters were scanlated. You're the first person I found who had even heard of it. I still spazz when I see AnE cosplayers at conventions. For some reason it isn't very well-known in my area.

I do wish the fandom wasn't composed of 90% Rin/Yukio shippers, but it's better than no fandom, I guess.

They're getting Nendoroids? The only figures I was aware of were the half age figures (which I still need to buy before they become impossible to find).

The LJ comms, at least, are flooded with Rin/Yukio and Mephisto/Amaimon. I don't mind the latter so much, but the former really squicks me out.
