Congratulations, LJ, you just broke EVERYTHING.

Icons are no longer alphabetized, subject lines are gone, the "thread" button is no longer there (which is kind of a big deal; I can't use "expand" because it makes my browser crash), and this layout is just plain ugly. I think the thing that annoys me the most is that I have no idea why anyone thought ( Read more... )

I'm on the second episode of season 2 right now.

I really love the characters (especially Merlin and Arthur's epic bromance!) though they sure are in mortal peril a lot. You'd think they could do something to fix that...

I guess my only complaint is that the CG (especially in the first season) is laughably bad at times.

Yay!!

They were all so adorable in the beginning. Now it's like COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE. I don't know how Arthur is actually alive right now prior to Merlin showing up because he was always on the edge of death

The dragon was my biggest complaint in the beginning. That cave thing never worked out for me. The CG is soooooooooo much better now.

Merlin is all kinds of adorable! At first I hated Arthur, but I'm warming up to him now. Gwen and Morgana are cool too. I even like the king, which is kind of odd. (It feels like I shouldn't like him, all things considered, but he's trying to do what's best for his kingdom, even if he royally fails at it.)

OH YES, THAT DRAGON. THAT WAS SOOOOO FAR INTO THE UNCANNY VALLEY FOR ME. I think it bothered me so much because it looked like they texture-mapped it, but failed to do anything about the edges of the model. So the dragon's silhouette was smooth instead of scaly.

The snakes in the second(?) episode were horrible too, but at least we only had to see them once.

I do hope this series doesn't suffer the same fate as Smallville, however. That is, the seasons starting to get ridiculous/repetitive the longer it goes.

PS - Where are you getting all your Merlin icons from? Not that I have icon space now, but I will eventually, either on LJ or somewhere else.

Give it time. They'll break that too.

No idea if I'm going to use mine or not. It probably depends on who on my f-list moves over there, and what ends up happening with pkmncollectors.

I'm not either, though apparently DW lets you auto-crosspost entries from LJ. I might look into that.

Personal journals seem unaffected (for now), but if you try to post or view a community, you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the DW heads-up! I created "jedi_amara", "geometric", "tortoises" and "monmen" before deciding on "qc" :'D although I'm not sure if I want my name linked that closely to my username if I decide to switch to DW as a main blog. Hmm.

My computer is fast and hasn't lagged too much, but I haven't visited any posts with a lot of comments yet. I can only imagine what will happen when I check Fandom Secrets.

Why so many names? I don't know what to add you under.

I wasn't sure what name I would want to use so I reserved all of them just in case :'D They're names I considered renaming to on LJ if they ever got purged. I wouldn't worry too much for now, I'm not planning on switching yet. My comms are over here :'D

I'll probably stick with stupid LJ for I have a hard time with change. Then again, with all the issues LJ is having, it might as well be some new alien site to me...*head desk*

If you do decide to change, DW has basically the same layout as LJ.
