I just found my non-Pokemon grail for $75, which is only $25 above the original retail price (though it will probably be around $100 after all fees). I don't think I'm ever going to find it cheaper than this. The only problem: it's used and the pictures are kind of blurry, so I can't tell what condition it's in. And after receiving some Pokemon ( Read more... )

I think Crescent shop has a questions tab you can send them with the auction link and they will ask the seller for you.

Depending on what the item is, I'd probably end up bidding on it. c:

lol Nevermind, I found it.

It's an anime figure that is sold out everywhere. I believe it's been out of production for 4-5 years, and the chances of a re-release are about 0.05%.

I'm just worried that I'll spend my savings on this auction, only to get a bootleg when I actually receive the item. The auction pictures look legit, but I've seen bootleggers fake packaging before.

Yes, there are a billion bootlegs of it floating around ebay. And the sad part is that most of them are decent bootlegs. It's incredibly hard to tell them apart from the real figure unless you can find close-ups of the bad paint job.

I don't mind paying $100 for the official figure, but if I pay $100 for a bootleg I think I'll cry.

That's still not bad, considering all plush are at least $10-$15 at Disney World. (Minus the tiny keychain plush, which are around $6.)

BUUUYYYYY ET

You'll regret it if you don't. ;-;

I mean, look at me! Running around and willing to pay more than three times as much as my grails were actually worth.

It looks like my decision has been made for me. I didn't bid on it last night because I was waiting on better pictures from the seller. When I woke up it was closed. I knew it was closing while I was in bed, but for some reason I thought it was one of those auctions that would be re-listed. But apparently not!

I don't know why I was thinking that. I'm such an idiot. ;__;

The good(?) thing is it closed with no bids, so now I know I can find one for $75... if I ever happen to see another.
