Oh man, I have a super beat-up Nip on top of my bookshelf. He was my first beanie baby.
And the Pikachu - is that the one that talks? Because I also have one of those, and it went through a number of ordeals, too, including taking a plunge into a deep bucket of water. Something about remembering old toys brings out all the stories. XD
I think the doberman (Doby?) was technically my first. My mom bought me a few as a Christmas gift because she thought they were cute. Then I started looking into the other Ty plush... lol My mom created a monster!
I was talking about this Pikachu, though I also had the talking one. But I was too scared to break the talking one. $20 was an expensive plush for a little kid.
I think I stopped around the 6th movie too. That's the time when I started liking the movies/songs less and less. It's also about the time that Pokemon came out. However, I'd still love to own the original on DVD
( ... )
I thought the original had already been released on DVD. I've had bad luck finding it at any local stores, but it appears to be on Amazon.
I hate listing Ty's on ebay because people get so bent out of shape with every little thing that's wrong with the tag. None of my tags are bent, but some still have price stickers on the back, etc.
I broke down and bought him yesterday. It's been a while since I slept with a plush, but he remained on my bed last night. It was nice to have something to cuddle, especially since I was feeling a bit under the weather. lol What is wrong with me? I'm acting like I'm five years old.
I was all about LBT! The first movie anyways as I never watched anything pass the 3rd. (Too cheesy. :P)
And tell me about with beanie babies, I can't even remember how much I spend on some of them for them to now be worthless. I did keep a few of my favorites but the others I sold in a huge lot for like 50 shipped on ebay. (There were over 90+ beanies in there too. ><)
And that tiger is adorable! (As is your story. I think it's cute.:3) Those big soul full eyes are sucking you in!
I don't remember anything past the second. The only reason I liked the second was because Chomper was in it.
Beanies just leave a bad taste in my mouth. I remember so many times when I wanted to hit myself for being an idiot. Like, when I first started collecting them, I saw one of the "error" beanies at a local store. I decided not to buy it because I didn't think the error would be worth much. Come to find out, that one was selling for $500 at the time. ($500 is a lot of money for a little kid.)
But the tiger is quite a bit larger than a Beanie Baby. I'll just pretend that it's not a Ty plush.
My first plush was a Pooh bear. Then Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers plush. I also was nuts about beanie babies. While I don't collect them much now, I still have my weaknesses (dragons, wolves, foxes, cats, and bats). Currently I am still looking for my remaining grails (trap mouse, magic dragon, radar black bat, and another flip white cat the replace the one that got damaged)
That pika was my first pokeplush too, then I got the pillow charmander (he is in VERY loved condition now) and he is still my favorite pokeplush
Which version of Magic are you looking for? I'm pretty sure I have one in my boxes of beanies to sell. I haven't checked Trap, but I think Radar and Flip are fairly cheap on ebay.
I can't believe I still remember (almost) all of the Beanie names. I wonder how much space that now pointless knowledge is taking up. XD

I can't believe it took me 13 years to find a tiger plush that I actually liked.

i've seen Radar on ebay, but i'm unsure if it's a good choice as Radar was one of the beanies with the most bootlegs (Trap also had many)
