I'm just curious, how does this know that I'm from Livonia? Or does it say that for everyone and I just didn't figure this out?

It knows based on the IP address you are querying it from.

IP addy's are assigned by your internet company, which for you is Brighthouse/Roadrunner, which registered that set of IP's for Livonia, which is part of a public database, which these thing looks at when you load it, and then it shows your location.

You see it a lot if you ever go to a site that has a lot of banner ad's, like I see the ones that say "Meet singles in Livonia" or if I am at school it says it for Dearborn.

There are a couple sites that I see it on all the time, but now that I am trying to find it to show you, I cant. Figures.

Someone is always watching...
