Hi everyone! Long time no post. I've been in Taipei for the last couple days, doing a little high-intensity eating before I head to India for a month. I don't have my camera cable at the moment, so pictures will have to wait. Taipei is the shit, though. There's a really high density of restaurants, for starters. My husband went to Taiwan (Hsinchu, the capital of the high tech industry) on business often. He was very into Karen Teppanyaki in the Taipei 101 basement food court which he declared to be one of his 5 favorite restaurants in the world. I visited once and ate there and though good, I didn't think it was better than the teppanyaki we had in Tokyo.

I remember liking the shaved ice from the shaved ice district in Ximending.
