I was looking at your icons that were posted in supernaturalart and I was wondering what software you used to make them. I've been getting more and more interested in making icons and banners, but I just don't know what I should use to make them in. At the moment I'm using Photoshop for most of my graphics work, but I really want to make more animations.
I use Photoshop (CS2), too! =) For the animations I usually start out in Photoshop and then do the animating bit in Image Ready (shift+ctrl+M should transfer the file from Photoshop to Image Ready, or just use the little icon on the very bottom of the tool bar!) =)
Your animations are just so good. The best I've seen tbh. Unfortunately, I have CS3 and they've taken Image Ready away. I could just cry. I guess it's back to the drawing board for me lol.
Thank you! =) (But as I had to find out the hard way, they only look that good if you completely ignore size restrictions...lol ;)).
And seriously??? CS3 doesn't have ImageReady??? Damn. I guess that means I won't ever upgrade.
ETA: I just checked the Adobe Website, and it looks like you can do animations right in CS3 without needing Image Ready. The help page said to check Window>Animation (I can't really check if that's true, since I don't have it, but you should check it out!), then the animation box should pop up.
Okay I am so a nosey sod, I am aware of this fact. But as per your recent puzzle post I decided to check out your journal. So I did. And I thought it good. Very good in fact. So I took a look at you profile which lead me to your galleries. I am very impressed by the look of your gallery! Mine is just LJ basic. How did you get it to look so awesome? Is there somewhere I could get the code and instructions on how to make my LJ gallery look so good please? Thanks in advance for any help!
You know what? That is a very good question...lol ;) I made that gallery 2 years ago and haven't changed it since. But I did some investigating and if you go to lj.com > Customize Scrapbook and then in the Current Style section go to "Edit" (omg, I hope that was right), it gives you about a dozen different style settings. You can choose one and then customize it if you want. Mine is "Chocolate Charlie", by the way. ;) Let me know if it worked (or if I told you crap...lol ;))! ;)
Of course not! =) Just gimme some time to get around checking out all the peeps who've friended me last week alone (I'm a little overwhelmed. Funny what one good batch of icons can do. Usually my art pretty much sucks...lol ;)), cause I usually like to check out their journals and see if we have anything in common before I friend back! =)
not a prob sweetie. I do art too, uh and fanfic and icons and um moving banners...*coughs* gotta LOVE the winchesters. *drools*
I actually saw you on um...sam_dean I think? *bites lip* i've got a huge flist so i tend to check the comms first cause it easier but i troll my friends page too. :D
but NO hurry and yay for friends. *hugs you tight* and I love your stuff. I put some of it up on my profile page cause i'm fangirling. :D
Hi! =) I don't mind you friending me at all! =) I'm kinda losing track of who's been friending me lately, though, but when I find the time I'll check out all the journals and friend back whoever I find interesting or feel like I have something in common with! ;)
hi, i hope you don't mind the friend request. I'm really new to LJ but I love Supernatural to pieces and I have no friends that do other than people on the internet, so I thought i'd add you. :)
Well, as long as you don't mind that I don't automatically friend everyone back. ;) Seriously, I just started grad school and I'm gonna be so busy I'm considering a flist-cut already, cause I probably won't be able to keep up with my flist. But if you wanna stay around for the art and everything you're more than welcome! =)
