Who needs friends?

In an attempt to alienate friends and give people another reason to make fun of me I have decided to rank the normal poker players. Also partly because I'm sad about the way the touny went for me today and I think putting others down will make me feel better. This is based off of my feelings at the table and consistency in games. I'm only doing ( Read more... )

This list is proper, and I'm glad I got some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

The thing that you forgot to mention about Shannon is that she has never raised of her own volition, that is without being goaded by Slimpy into it or having the nuts, in her LIFE, EVER.

I actually would make this list exactly the same as yours, with you and Slimpy swapped. I'd have to move Hern up somewhere too. (Sorry!)

If you think I'm conservative you haven't been watching me the last couple of games. Anyway, keep thinking that, because it helps me get away with tons of bluffs. I probably get away with more bluffs than anybody except Danny...he banks off of his table reputation, and I bank off of people thinking I only play when I have good cards. I will give you that I'm pretty easy to read, though. It is a weakness! Also, you rated yourself WAY too high! Try shoving yourself back a handful of slots. I would not place you above me, and certainly not above Slimpy! But, ya know, overall, your list isn't THAT jacked. You do have DuBois last, right where he belongs.

I think you are one of the more conservative players at the table. All conservative players make bluffs, its part of what makes that style strong. That hardly means that you are agressive or anything. You are a conservative player who has actually learned how to play your style. It's not an insult to be conservative at all. Its just a style of play, one I think is eaiser to read, for me. I think I am certainly better than you, Slimpy is closer. Usually I go out on a poorly timed all-in, or a misread at a critical moment. Plus at a table where you and I were together at your house we left the table with reletively even stacks. I would argue that both of us were playing close to our top game and we ended about even. I know one game doesn't say everything but I think that shows that you are not a lot higher than me like you said you were in your list. Plus I know if the game last more than 30 minutes you will probably get sick of it and leave anyway. I'm not saying I'm a lot better than you but you definatly arn't a lot ( ... )
