Prison Break question (Episode 16)

Feb 08, 2007 22:52

Ok, so this has been sort of 'discussed' in the TWoP forums, and it's starting to bug me not knowing what was really said, so I'm asking anyone who reads this to help me out ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure she said lost HIM, and I assumed she was talking about her father, hence the irony of the situation. I think that the fact that she's lost her father has made her realise that life's too fragile and uncertain to not say the things she needs to say.

I heard "lost him" i assumed she was referring to her father, because her first reason was wanting to get the people who killed "him" and second .. she wouldnt be saying what she is about to... if she didnt lose "him"
So if her father hadnt died, it wouldnt have forced her to sieze the moment, and tell him her feelings. Plus if her father wasnt dead, she wouldnt be on the run.. and would probably be still mad at Michael.. and they wouldnt be where they are today

I'm the same as the people above: I heard "him", but the other perspective of having heard "it" is certainly an interesting one that I hadn't thought of. Either one could work!

i heard "him" and i took it to mean, that michael was the second reason for her carrying on, and if she hadnt lost him then he probably wouldnt still be a reason for her to carry on.. or something like that lol

Thanks for the responses, guys!

Yeah.. I'm coming round to that way of thinking now, that she meant her father, but it still really sounds like she says 'it'. But anyway, I asked The_Man what was written in the script for that part, and he kindly gave me this:

She looks at him.
SARA
There’s two things that keep me
going, Michael.
(beat)
I want whoever it was who killed my
dad to pay for it. Flat-out.
(beat)
The other thing... And if tomorrow
was assured, maybe I’d still be
keeping it to myself. But it’s
not. And so I want you to know...
The words can’t come for Sara. She shakes her head. A
small, almost ironic, smile.
SARA (cont'd)
First thing they tell you when you
take the job, never fall in love
with a con.
