Okay, so I think I'm going to do it.. or you know, try to do it:

50 books in 2009.

I used to read a lot in high school, but then.. not so much. But I've been reading that bit more, and want to do this.

I suppose books don't count if I started it in 08 and finished in 09, so book #1 will be Son of a Witch by Gregory Maguire.

lol. You could maybe set a goal of something less.

Good luck with your challenge. My new years resolution is to read more, so its kind of like this challenge. I just dont have confidence that I could tackle 50 books, but I figured this way if it ends up being that or more than thats a plus. I just started the twilight series. It seems everyone and their brother on the net has read them and a couple of my real life friends have read them and they've been trying to get me to read them for awhile. Including my best friend who use to make snarky comments about me watching Buffy back in the day... look who's laughing now! :)

One of the books on my list is Son of a Witch. I read Confessions of an Ugly Step Sister a few years ago and liked it and have been meaning to read this one, just never got around to it. You'll have to let me know how you liked it.

That's a good idea. 50 is an awful lot of books.. about 1 per week, but I figure since there's some small-ish books I want to read, it might give me longer for the longer books. We'll see how I go... LOL

I don't think I'll go near twilight for a while. I'm not in a hurry to see if I'll like it, and the whole popularity thing kind of puts me off of reading books sometimes.

I really want to read Confessions of an Ugly Step Sister. But my library doesn't have it, (though I haven't checked if they can get it in from another) and I've only seen it once at the bookshop where it was around $30, which seemed a bit much since I'm not sure if I'll like it enough to want to keep it.

Have you read Wicked?
