Deathly Hallows, wooooo!

I dunno, I dunno, I'm still on an I FINALLY SAW IT high, but I think it's the thumbs up. I'm seeing it again tomorrow in any case, because a) I owed a friend and b) I missed three separate parts due to my bladder being a big bitch.

Spoilers ahoy )

pictures, books, films

positive: totally agree.

negative: totally agree. though I have to say the nazi reference is there in the books as well, they simply made it a tiny bit too obvious but that's probably for those who didn't get it in the books and have to have it thrust into their faces to see it. it didn't bother me too much (mind you I'm German, possibly discussion necessary whether or not I've had too much nazi reference in my life to be bothered much).
I was also a bit disappointed that the talk between Harry and Ron, with Harry telling Ron that there's nothing but friendship between him and Hermione, wasn't there. I would have really loved to see that.

the seven potters scene was hilarious and it was a great farewell, sort of, for Mad-eye though I would have liked a bit more emphasis on the grief afterwards.

i loved the dancing scene, it was so adorable and beautiful*-*.

Yeah, that's what I mean, they just make it so obvious when it's pretty much something we can figure out for ourselves, I think. I dunno, it didn't overly bug me, but I did roll my eyes.

ahhhh i went to the midnight showing, dressed up, cried once, wept once, freaked OUT at certain awesome things (three brothers was EPIC, totally agree), laughed inappropriately at others (how long it took x. lovegood to just...draw a line, a circle, and a triangle and the circle wasn't even round!!), and made my friend laugh by mentioning ron's "thick thunder thighs" (seriously UNF rupert looked so good). all in all PHENOMENAL can't wait to see it again, etc etc

Jason Isaacs! The greasy hair, the red eyes, the high-pitched voice and the flinching is PERFECT for the man who's offered his home to Lord Voldemort. Loved him.

Agh, I didn't even noticed red armbands. Red armbands?? But I wouldn't be surprised; wanting the magical world to be pureblood is nothing if not Nazism, yeah? Obviously I can't say whether they were too much since I didn't even notice them. (The sorting hat could say a thing or two about my dust-filled head.)

Dobby dying should never ever happen. He's just so adorably loyal and so INNOCENT. Like you said, though, Hedwig's death happens so quickly, we only hear of Mad-Eye's death, so they're not quite as touching. Crying about Dobby gave me a headache, argh.

TO CHANGE THE MOOD, I am going to say, in regards to that picture of Rupert (and the man in general): yum.

Oh yeah, the armbands are justified, it is total Nazism, I just didn't think we needed the comparison to be made that obviously. I don't know, maybe they wear armbands in the book, I can't remember. I'm probably being a bitch.

OH RUPERT GRINT. I went to see the film again yesterday and UNF, you know that scene where everyone is helping put up the wedding tent? AND RON HAS HIS ARM OUTSTRETCHED, HOLDING HIS WAND, AND HIS FOREARM IS ALL SHAPELY MUSCLE ALSKSK:SKJD DELICIOUS.

PS YOU: did you see this entry?
