So, ever since the Fabulous Lorraine started talking about Roller Derby a year and a half or so ago I'd been thinking that I wanted to do a series of portraits. Well, I'm not currently playing, but I started as our leagues first photographer--and La Crosse isn't too far from the Fabulous Lorraine, so let me know if you are in the area and maybe Mississippi Valley Mayhem can be a pit stop ;)

yeah if you come to Raleigh let me know too, cause that's only an hour and a half away and I would totally be down for some hanging out time in a real city. :)

There is an Amtrack train to Raleigh from Philly but south of D.C. it's prone to many long delays where you sit in the middle of nowhere for hours at a time sometimes.

If you swing through the area, it would be excellent if you came to Madison. Not only do we have the Mad Rollin Dolls, but it is pretty close to Milwaukee (Brew City Bruisers), Chicago (Windy City Rollers) and of course, the Chippewa Valley Roller Girls. We're at the hub! :)

My sister lives just outside of Madison, so this is a trip that could very likely happen. It would be nice to see you after worldcon!

There are two leagues in La Crosse WI and a (w)rec league in Madison in addition to MRD, as well as a few state-line groups too. I'll pass this on.

My brother's girlfriend is on one of the teams here in Hawaii...should you find the need to travel slightly farther than you normally do.

Check out Daddy Skittles on Facebook. He photographs a lot of the derby bouts in Phoenix. A friend is on one of the teams.
