SPN anime project

So this is totally weird, but also pretty awesome. Supernatural is fairly popular in Japan, and WB Japan has decided to capitalize by developing an anime adaptation of the series!

The show is planned to air starting January 2011, and will be 22 episodes. It looks like they'll be primarily adapting selected episodes from the first two seasons, along ( Read more... )

I actually heard about this! I can't claim to know much about Supernatural, seeing as I don't watch the show (I have heard tales of the slash fic, though), but MadHouse rarely dissapoints, so I might give this a look.

I like the show a lot, and definitely recommend it. Though since they seem to be going back to the first two seasons, it shouldn't be an issue for anyone who hasn't watched the show.

I imagine this is going to lead to an interesting fandom dynamic. I wonder if there'll be an influx of people to the fandom from the anime version?
