alive and happy

I’m alive, I just haven’t been posting as much lately. I was thinking about it as I drove to work today, and I average ~9 hours of work a day, 2 of driving, ~2-3 of working out and showering after all the workouts, ~6-7 of sleeping (gotta get better there), and about 2 of sitting on the couch (working, interneting, eating, chatting with friends ( Read more... )

I hope you're spending more than those 1-3 lost hours with The Beau... Especially after shiny Bday presents! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

You sound SO ready for both 1/2 Vineman & IM Kentucky! I know you're going to have fun! Your bike ride distances are really impressive too!

I'm also doing the Vineman 1/2. . .my goal is to not finish last ;-)

hey perhaps we can meet up there! We are either camping or staying with family the night before.

It would be fun to meet up. We're riding the course the day before and staying in Santa Rosa Saturday night. I'm still debating whether to go up Friday night or not. Last year we stood in the LONGEST line ever for packet pick-up Sat afternoon.

We're leaving the LA area and driving up Friday afternoon (once Mike can leave work). I'm not sure which days we'll be doing things... I have family a bit farther away (Marin area) that I hope to see as well.

Definately looking good for VM and IM:KY :) Looking forward to watching the race.

...and from everything I can tell, I'll be in the Woodlands for the 101!

I might also be in the San Diego area at the beginning of November and be able to drive up. Luisa has a conference and if I go I'll need to find stuff to do during the day and a place to stay for a night or two, to give her and the other gals in the room time without me (and so I won't be sleeping on the floor)

Oh it would be great to see you! I'm still figuring out travel details, etc for it... but depending on airlines I might end up flying into your area and if you are going seeing if I can hitchhike with ya!

Oh that's cool! Let me know ahead of time and perhaps we can get a ride in or something :) What size bike do you ride again? Given the 4 tri bikes and 2 road bikes around our place, chances are something might work! ;)

I'm on a 54 Cervelo Dual right now. It's basically at the upper end range though. Smaller stuff has worked in the past as well.

The main thing to keep in mind about driving from Austin...if it's you and Mike, I just have a 2 seater truck. It has a bench, but that might not be comfortable for the 4 hours :p

Ok... I know we have a 52 cannondale and a kestrel in some unknown size that fits people about 6 feet tall :)

*grin* It depends on if Mike and I travel together... which depends on which race he is doing and his time off work... which depends on if he quals for Kona ;) I was thinking of the "roadtrip with J" option if he is meeting me later.

you're very motivating to me. Do you mind if I add you? (new triathlete, but I'm hooked.)

of course not :) I will probably even add back (although be aware that every now and then I tend to purge all the people I don't really know). Welcome to the sport :)
