Got a bit of a scare Friday. Things are ok for now, though. Little Luke got certain boy parts altered, and wouldn't stop bleeding. Ry and Jenny took him back to the hospital, and the docs couldn't find anything wrong with him, but kept him overnight for observation. And he is going to be sent to the university hospital at some point. Poor baby...

Yup they use to believe that it was the cause of infections. Thankfully they have more sense in the UK, so I still have every bit of me!

Why does our culture do this and not, say, a ceremonial appendix removal at 14. We'll call it a appenbiskamy. (Young ladies will have a appen-batmitz-ceanera ). As far as I can tell, more people have die from appendix issues anyway.

Luke may be on the tail end of a dying tradition. All of my friends with sons opted not to do it. The only people I do know who did was my brother, to my nephew. But then, my brother is old school.
