2014 Drama Recap

You could call 2014 a slow year for me, in terms of drama watching. A huge part of it is because I started working full-time near the end of April, which meant a significant cut in my drama-watching time. I also started consuming much more anime/manga than I do normally, which is quite a time commitment. But at the same time, 2014 just didn't have

I don't blame you for dropping You Light Up My Star halfway through the first episode, which also made no sense to me. The drama gets somewhat better, but definitely not to the extent of a recommendation. Unfortunately, having seen all of the drama, I think I've begun to see "Well" as a real English name, lol.

Pleasantly Surprised gets a little slow in its second half but overall it's a sweet and inoffensive SETTV drama, 'specially when you put it up against its evil twin Fall in Love with Me. I wouldn't consider it a must-watch, but see it if you can!

And thanks for the snippet on Hello Gorgeous. I wanted to watch it at some point but I think I like Godfrey a little too much to watch him go loco in an unlikable role, haha. ):

Hahahaha at your describing FILWM as the evil twin. Man, I really picked the wrong drama to watch live. *shakes fist at Aaron and his attractiveness*

Yeah, you know you did a bad job writing a character when even Godfrey Gao can't save him. I guess the writers were trying to be ~deep~ and realistic or whatever, and I know it can be hard to make viewers sympathize with someone set on revenge, but I honestly lost all interest in Godfrey's character by the end.
