I realize that this has been posted for quite some time already, but thank you for this great read, as usual! I always love reading your responses because they're in-depth and thoughtful, just like the quotes you included from Fated to Love You and Office Girls. ^__^

LOL @ your "NO NO NO NO NO." That's the perfect description for Ding Jiayu. I recently found out that the actress Lyla Lin is a member of the well-received Taiwanese girl group Roomie. She should really stick to singing and dancing-like Tia (sorry, couldn't help it).

Out of curiosity, why do you consider Wish to See You Again one of your favorite dramas? Admittedly, that's probably what made me into a Zai Zai fan (weird, I know), and one of the OSTs sung by second lead Ken Zhu has stayed with me all these years, but the drama itself was quite forgettable for me. I'd love to hear what you have to say about it! :)

Oh yeah, I remember hearing that Lyla was part of some girl group. I actually looked her up at some point because she had this terrible accent in Just You (or was I imagining things...?) and I wanted to see if she was Taiwanese American or Taiwanese Cantonese or *something* to explain it. Don't think I learned anything, but I was shocked to discover that she was in Lovestore at the Corner (didn't recognize her with a new hairstyle), because I actually thought her acting was okay in that one. Then again, it was a pretty inoffensive character, kinda like Tia's in Miss RoseI really don't get why they get the worst actresses to play female villains, though, because the villains are probably the most nuanced roles and need the most talented actresses to do them justice. Maybe most Taiwanese actresses just don't want to take the fall by portraying an unsympathetic character

Yeah, she seems to have the same problem as Aggie Hsieh. Can't fault her for pronunciation, but her enunciation feels sorta overly defined-it doesn't quite ring true like that of a native speaker. It's like even though she doesn't have an accent, there seems to be a slight indication that one exists. I looked her up before for the same reason and also learned nothing, hahaha. I guess for now we can only continue this pointless (and possibly imaginary) speculation. x__x

I vaguely remember that scene but now that you've explained it I can totally picture Zai Zai looking like a lost puppy in that moment, LOL. He really nailed the characterization of his weirdo writer role down to a tee, and I liked the drama well enough while I was watching it, even if my impression of it faded as time went on. Ken's 愛不停止 though... Even listening to it today brings back a ton of feels.

Omgat. Speaking of virtually touring Taiwan, you just reminded me that it was WTSYA that made visiting Taipei 101 into one of my life goals. Which is yet to happen. :(

LOL I love how we're both so sensitive to accents in twdramas. xD

Yeah, I feel like WTSYA isn't one of those dramas that incite RAGING PASSION in people, but it's a solid feel-good drama with a great soundtrack and lots of cute and funny scenes. The plot isn't anything amazing, but for a drama that was essentially made to promote Taiwanese tourism, its storyline is surprisingly well-written.

OMG! I visited Taipei 101 the last time I was in Taiwan, and they have this really cute mailbox in the observatory, and I remembered seeing it in WTSYA! Of course, nothing exciting happened because my life is not a drama, but it was still really cool seeing it.

Maaaan, now I want to rewatch WTSYA... must resist the urge. x_x
