I know - I don't know how I feel about this. I like Heath Ledger - but I have a hard time picturing him as well uber-crazy penultimate Batman baddy.

It could be interesting if they went in with the obsession angle instead of the clown. Heath might be able to pull it off if he doesn't fall into the trap of playing it for laughs instead of terror.

Heath isn't as young as he used to be. And this new story is set in about year 2 or 3 of Batman's career. Joker would be a lot younger, too. Just starting out in his dark clown persona.

Obviously the casting director sees the Batman/Joker slash vibe and wants fandom to run with it. 8-D

From your mouth to God's ear. I would love to see scenes with Christian and Heath prior to the Joker's transformation into his grotesque nature that spelled out just why the Joker was so obsessed with Batman.

All that UST is what makes the relationship so powerful. The really dark side of Clark and Lex's relationship.
