Another segment straight from my brain! This dwindled out towards the end and I got a little gushy/silly. Wow. I'm glad I followed red_satin_doll's recommendation and read this because I really liked it. Cogent, well-thought-out, and it truly does accomplish what the writers didn't - giving depth and fullness to the much-maligned Dawn Summers. Kudos to you!

Yes I finally got around to reading this part - and THIS is SPECTACULAR. Utterly. I have conceptualized Dawn as taking over literally the "younger sister/damsel" role WIllow held symbolically (PG/ The Gift) and Dawn casting the spell in CWDP is one of my favorite S7 moments and Dawn moment ever (DO NOT TELL ME GIRLFRIEND ISN'T BRAVE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS FANDOM ( ... )

One of the main problems with the SG is literalized by the spell in Primeval - each member choses a "label" and more and more through the series identify themselves with that label to the exclusion of other parts of their identities Agreed.
