WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO TO ME? God, you're destroying me, do you hear, destroying.
I LOVE THAT THIS IS A RAVEN EXPLORATION. That it's her and her dynamic with everyone, and I also adore that it's so carefully crafted that Finn is the least mentioned in the entire thing, because all this while Raven has thought of Finn as her only family, and this fic is about deconstructing exactly that. Also you can see the why of it, why Finn's so important to her, though the mention of Raven's mother, Raven's relationship with her mother, her own childhood. Finn was possibly the ~purity she held on to in that time, the idea that things would get better, and he was her only support system. In which context, the Octavia scene KILLED ME, for being the new support system, for just expanding Raven's idea of her own world and what people are willing to do for her. Your Octavia is fantastic to the nth degree

RAVEN IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME. ALMOST AS IMPORTANT AS OCTAVIA.
So super pleased that the Octavia scene worked for you! It took the longest to write because I need them to be important to each other, to understand things that the others just can't.
The war councils part and Raven believing that she needs to pretend she matters is just, oh my god. Yes. And not just Finn, but how much of what her mother was and what she did is swirling around in her head during war councils with Bellamy across from her and Finn somewhere to her left. Am I here because I am worth it? or am I here because I boned the right guy. It's super important to me how much Bellarke need Raven to survive.
and Raven doesn't mind because it's Clarke and she can understand feeling that way about Clarke, because it's exactly how she feels. best. Bravenlarke is so important.
I LOVE HOW IMPORTANT MOTHERS ARE ON THIS SHOW. And not in a Lost-"we are damaged because we had terrible fathers"-way - but in a very HONEST "damn but my mom is a REAL PERSON and I have to deal

That was really awesome! Thank you for the casual Octavia moment it was perfect :) I like the way you made them seem like one big jumbled feelings! mess yet it still all makes sense.
His voice is lazy with sex and she wants to feel proud of that, of making him thick and heavy and wanting, wants to kiss the smirk off his mouth. Instead she gives him an update on her weapon stash and walks out of the tent.
