omg A fucking plus. LOVELOVELOVE the idea of Dawn's fieriness and aliveness replacing Edward's black coldness (#aspirational misandry). KELSEY YOU KNOW WHAT I LIKE.

Thanks so much, bb!!! ((Seriously terrified of posting this because *ugh* Twilight. But I love Bela soooooo much and the idea of Bela/Dawn was too perf!))

Oh hey, I love this. Dawn/Bella should be a thing that exists. Love your ending line -- to have wanted more, which I would loved for canon Bella.

(Psst - I'm pretty sure her name has two "L"s)

Dawn/Bella should *obviously* be a thing that exists.

to have wanted more, which I would loved for canon Bella.
Bella is one of those frightfully lovable characters that I want to wrap up in a blanket, hand hot cocoa, and then apologize for the sake of her canon/writer. Poor baby.

oh FFFFFFFFFFFF - fixed it!

Yup, I actually rather like Bella as well -- though I really hated Edward until recently. And weirdly, I sort of appreciate... aspects of Bella/Edward, though it's obviously unhealthy as hell.

Hm, I think if you take Twilight and view it through the lens of SMeyer intentionally writing in every single implication of Bella's character, it becomes... rather more interesting. Bella, aimless, fancies herself a martyr of sorts, with a streak of manipulation and tunnel vision, but strange awareness nonetheless (she knows that she's getting attention because she's new), and ultimately writing herself into a story / species that canonically does not mentally age. A species that is beautiful and immortal, but distance from others. The tragedy of not letting herself want. I don't agree that she has no personality, because there's really quite a lot between the lines. If Twilight hadn't been a romance, her fate could have been quite up in the air.
