First: Buffy/Tara, or Buffy, Tara makes me all kinds of happy. I just love those two girls so much, and their relationship is SO underexplored in fandom. My OTF. Plus Dawn? So much love.

And I have NO idea why there's so little fic that goes AU in S6-7 and Tara doesn't die. - I suppose if I hung around Willow/Tara ship sites I'd see more, but I don't really ship W/T per se. But that to me seems like one of the most obvious number one things that people would want to "fix" in fanfiction. (I've wondered what S7 esp EP would have been like with Tara still there.) do you have any fic recs on that?

I'm not "versed" in the Key-canon and I'm new to your fics so I feel like I should read more of your fics to get a feel for it? This is so spare, and delicate, like water running over my fingers.

I wish that I did! I haven't read much Tara-centric fic, honestly. There just doesn't seem to much out there. Which seems odd - you're right, of all the fix-its, why wouldn't there be more Tara-S7 fic? She'd be so interesting in that season. Especially post-dark!Willow.

Mostly what I mean by "Key-canon" is any fic that doesn't IGNORE the fact of the Key, that takes into account that all around the Scoobies there are layers of reality that have the potential to pull away. Both of my major Dawn "epics" (unfinished and still WIP unfortunately) revolve around the fact that she is the Key. (#1- Key-'verse "Life-An Experiment" which goes AU at the end of AtS

I'm afraid I'm really so over Spike & Dawn but - different strokes, right? I think my reaction is largely to the way Spike's relationships with Joyce, Dawn, Tara etc get exaggerated and focused on (he really doesn't even have a relationship with Tara in canon) to the absolute exclusion of Buffy's relationships with them. (Which I've probably already ranted to you about, so stopping now.) It is to weep.
