What wonderful pictures and stories. Thank you for sharing. It must be a very different experience, certainly culture shock, to live with a family made up of extended family in close quarters. I'm sure you have gotten more accustomed to the situation and I'm glad to hear that you have made two such wonderful friends who, as you say, expect nothing to to give and receive friendship. :-)

i am definitely more accustomed now and i also spent this weekend with them. it's just when i first came here, i did come with a whole package and had to solve this first (accepting things from the past, knowing that my life as it was is definitey over etc etc) and i wasn't even aware of how much i had been consumed in my own grief... and i couldn't really handle the new situation right away. it took me some months.

awwwwww I love Laica, such a cute dog! And that puppy in the last picture, I'm just getting an overdose of cuuuuuuute here! I love dogs so very much and miss not being around a lot of dogs...

i had no idea you were such a dog lover!!! they got 6 dogs there so i figure you would love it there :D

Yes, I LOOOOVE dogs :-) I had a puppy the first year I was in Chile, sadly he had a lot of chronical illnesses and only managed to live a year, but he was very cute and I loved him very much! (See icon!)
