Hi, I found your LJ randomly through your Elfwood account while I was searching for MST3K fan art. I friended you because we're about the same age and seem to be interested in similar things.
Also wanted to tell you, did you know that five of the writers of MST3K (Joel, Trace, Frank, Mary Jo Pehl and Josh Weinstein) are working on a new straight-to-DVD-over-the-internet show? If you haven't already you should really check out Cinematic Titanic and come hang out with us on the forums. There's one episode out on DVD now and the next one is coming in a month or so. Right now I'm one of only two or three people contributing fan art to the forums, and it's a nicely intimate community of about 200 people killing time between DVD releases. And when we talk about what we want to see on the show, the creators actually hear back on some of what we say and occasionally they respond to us. Like, Joel did an interview on Slashdot last fall and the questions sucked, so he agreed to answer questions from fans on the forums. And most of them
