Walk Walk Fashion Baby

Anyone who has the balls to end up on the “worst-dressed list” deserves major credit, and they all inspire me.
From Lady Gaga to Björk, over-the-top is never enough for me. Michael Jackson was wearing the most amazing Givenchy pieces toward the end of his life, and he was such an inspiration in them. Runway shows from artists like Viktor & Rolf, ( Read more... )

pics, fashion, i guess i'll need a figureskating tag, sequins=love

You are 100% not alone loving Johnny's quirky fashion. He can be so lovely, so chic, so severe, so haute couture. And you know, rarely does he mis-step for me because he also approaches fashion with a necessary sense of irony. He knew that bird jacket was outrageous and that's WHY he wore it, and he owns it so much more than any young edgy starlet or D-lister that might have tried it.

So when he shows up to something in a copper jacket and ridiculous bow tie I sigh happily and say "Oh JOHNNY." I do wish he was favoring a softer look for hair and make up, but I appreciate the look he's going for, too.

We need a professional photo shoot STAT. Not just MAC but like Vogue or GQ.

Yes, I think that is very important, and it invalidates a bunch of the criticisms aimed at him. He is self aware, which is wonderful. He doesn't just wear clothes to look good, he wears clothes to have fun and create a persona. This is my approach to fashion as well, and I love it.

I very much agree. Also, I love his explanation that he was going for an Alice in Wonderland inspired look. :DDD

And yeah, a professional photoshoot would be so very amazing. I want one so much.

ohmygod this post. ♥ i am pretty much a fashion noob, and while certain outfits of johnny's do make me raise an eyebrow and go D8 at my monitor, i tend to be distracted by other things. Like in this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v208/kuteki/JohnnyVegasUncorked-vi.jpg, I don't particularly like the pale pants he's wearing but then instead of focusing on them, I see how well they define his legs and then I go *___* at his thighs.

/shallow shallow shallow

i'm just easily distracted. and even if the whole ensemble isn't complimentary to certain parts of his figure, how happy and :DDDD he looks does it for me. and well, it's johnny! i wouldn't expect anything less.

Hee, I am definitely distracted by other things as well! He is so pretty, I am willing to forgive a lot of his mishaps, but not in the picture you linked to, I'm afraid. :D That one makes me laugh with how ridiculous it is, then again he is in Vegas, anything is allowed in Vegas.

how happy and :DDDD he looks does it for me.
Yeah, I agree and that is why all the hate his clothes get on _skating makes me sadface a lot.

I am horribly shallow in how dressing a bias of mine in form-fitting clothing or have them showing arms gets me so distracted. :P

I'm glad that he's experimenting a lot. There are a lot of people who wear more outrageous things than him, but then it's mostly Johnny's confidence that he can pull-off anything that makes it work in the end.

It makes me sadface too. But considering his fashion choices, it really can't be helped.

Hee, I don't even think he is that outrageous to be honest, it is usually a pretty standard pointy shoes, skinny jeans/leggings and a blazer combo, but with extra added sparkle! I like the extra added sparkle!

omg this jacket. I WANT IT SO BAD. There's something a little off about the cut, or something though. It's a little awkward. But still. That does not take away it's fabulousness.

I agree with pretty much everything clothes wise. I love that giant tulle bow, omg. That gold jacket doesn't do much for me though, neither does the hair. If Johnny were to just fix his hair... :o

I do too! My wardrobe is sadly lacking a sequin jacket! :(( And yeah it is a but too small for him, I think, most of his clothes would look a lot better if they fit him properly...

The giant tulle bow is DIVINE, I like the bow he is wearing at the NNN awards as well, I like that he was on a headbands high and now it is all about the bows. Bows are fun. I don't love the jacket that much either, though I think it's okay in the context of the outfit.

If Johnny were to just fix his hair...
Yeah, it really comes down to that. :/

If you had that jacket, you could totally wear it with your sequined leggings, and ~light up a room literally. :D :D?

That boy has some truly spectacularly fabulous shoes though, which almost makes up for the hair. Almost.

Hahaha, how about NO. Though the idea of a human disco ball is certainly an appealing one. :D

I totally agree! I always love his shoes, and fandom as a whole hates them for some bizarre reason. I really don't understand, what do they want him to be wearing? Trainers? Also, the shiny purple ones are so adorable and tiny, how are his feet so small?!

(I am sad, because I can't come to the Merlin picnic and talk to you incessantly about skating)
