Heroes and Gossip Girl

Nov 03, 2009 22:22

I have changed my profile, still working on the text, but saw that image while perusing a fashion comm and just had to use it. What do you guys think? I want to change my layout as well, but lack the necessary skills. I like its main components, I just wish there was a way of changing the header...

It is Plain and Simple so obviously I love it. (Though it still says 'proofread carefully etc' on it, just in case you hadn't noticed. Or is that why you said you're still working on it?)

I think there should be a section/mention of SUNSHINE SMILES though.

Haha, that is a quote about writing which I added because it made me laugh, it is supposed to be there! :D

You are right, Matt Bomer needs to go on my list of likes! I feel like there should be a trademark after 'sunshine smile' every time we write it!

HAHA, oh dear, I am an idiot. I thought it was left there by the profile maker! *headdesk*

How about ~*~sunshine smile~*~? :D

Well, if you made that mistake, then others probably will as well...oh well, I like it!

~*~sunshine smile~*~

Yes. I wish I had icon making skills! For example this one is far from perfect, it moves way too quickly, but it will do for now...

Cute image!

Proofread carefully to see if you any words out

BWAHA. One of my faves ever. XD

Heroes is really good at retroactively assassinating their own characters. I can't believe they went back and ROONED Bennet. I loved him in S1, even if he was so incredibly skeevy with the mindwiping, especially with his own damn wife. But now it's like, R U SRS? ADULTERY? RILLY? And with Yet Another Generic Blonde Chick? (and it's not like I don't like Elizabeth Rohm either, but god, the overabundance of white blond women on this show)

I was really glad to see Charlie though. She seemed genuine in a sea of disingenuous affect. I really really like that she called Hiro on his selfishness, because that's something the show has been very blind on, I think. That Hiro is shortsighted and plays God. I was actually disappointed when she came back and forgave him, and then WAS LOST IN THE MIST. OH MY GOD ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

I feel kinda bad, but I lol-ed at dead Mohinder. HE'S BEEN DEAD FOR EIGHT WEEKS AND NOBODY NOTICED. Poor Mo ( ... )

Hee, it's especially apt for my lj, because I am terrible with typos...

Bennet was awesome in Season 1 and this particular story line was so stupid, I am purging it from my personal canon. :/ I very much agree about the blondes, at this point ALL the main female characters on Heroes apart from Angela are blonde, all the non blondes have been killed/disappeared, but it is one of the things I used to get angry about, but no longer have the energy.

Charlie was a breath of fresh air, but I am not surprised she forgave him, she would have been the selfish one if she hadn't, but I think her words did get to Hiro a little. I just miss Hiro's "you are a billain" days. :/

Poor Mo indeed, perhaps he is better off dead than in this madness.

This show is an exercise in masochism for me.

I wish I could Haitian myself prior to each episode, (and seriously, show, that's a verb now? Not having a name got old 3 seasons ago!) if you ignore continuity and character development, bits are still entertaining!

Haha, I know the feeling. I do it a lot when I'm writing. Hence why I have an OCD compulsion to proof stories 293472839472839423 times before posting. I've gotten better about it. The OCD part anyway.

I'm with you in the purging. Not only was it stupid, it was pointless. Like, what did that reveal about Bennet? Nothing we don't already know. And in fact, only made things worse in hindsight of a previous consistent and awesome characterization. I'm not saying that he's above human flaws, such as temptation. But when his characterization revolves around FAMILY MAN FAMILY MAN FAMILY MAN, it's damaging to see something like this. Maybe on another show, a better written show, this would be interesting. But not on this one.

one of the things I used to get angry about, but no longer have the energy.I think I'm STILL angry about it because I defended this show back during the early days of S1. People harped on it, and I was like GIVE IT A CHANCE YOU GUYS! And now here we are ( ... )

It just seems like there are so many more important storylines that are currently in limbo, that adding another self contained one was just a very bad idea, even if that storyline had been awesome and it very clearly wasn't.

GIVE IT A CHANCE YOU GUYS!

Yeah... they killed Simone and it went downhill from there. Monica had such potential, a fantastic power and they just made her go away with no explanation. :/ Okay, maybe I am also a little angry still...

ZQ always does a good job with his reactions, but at this point it's like they seem to think that adding a million different versions of Sylar is going to save Heroes, and it's really not enough. And why didn't he just kill them in the end, seriously?

I love your new profile. MB's smiiiile ftw!! :D

Jenny with no make up!!! And all it took was swine flu!
Ahahaha, that made me giggle.

I enjoyed parts of this, thought the Noah storyline was completely unnecessary and the Hiro/Sylar bits and changing the past a million times made no sense. Why couldn’t Hiro change the past before and now he can? Why did Sylar not kill them both anyway after finding out the most useless details about his life from Hiro ever? Seriously, what?
RIGHT!? I hate that now they're fucking up the s1 timeline. That was the only good season you have, bastards, don't retcon it as well. The Noah affair storyline was totally unnecessary. And someone over at heroes_tv mentioned that it was weird that Noah didn't catch Sylar in the diner, considering he was there with Elle when Gabriel became Sylar. MY HEAD HURTS AGAIN.

His smile is made of puppies and rainbows! :D

Whoa. I'd forgotten about that! He even said they don't know what he looks like, so I suppose they didn't know it was Sylar that was the murderer? And he just didn't see him in the diner? Either way, fail show, fail!
