Here is the latest Space Battleship Yamato movie trailer. And yes that is Steven Tyler singing at the end. He wrote the song "Love Lives" specifically for the movie... seems he is also a Yamato fan.

Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! It's live action. I think I might cry.

Yeah, live action :-) the first trailer came out last January, the second & third ones came out in June.. this one came out last week.

Two more are suppose to be released by the 24th of November, with glimses of the Gamelons and Desslok

I wonder why I haven't heard about this (besides from you, of course). This seems like a big deal.

Then again, that Evangelion remake isn't getting much press either. IDK.

Some friends of mine who live in Europe & Australia have heard about it. My theory is that American film studios and film distributers are only interested in importing anime. They have still yet to learn that there is a market here for live action cinema and TV programs.

But given the fact that so many big names are attached to this film (many well known outside Japan) that hopefully there will be a release here in the states. I mean Steven Tyler wrote a song for this movie because he is a fan of the original series.
