THAT IS A LONG COMMUTE. D: Which suuuuuuucks, because the job sounds delightful! Does it rain much in the greater Milawkee/Ozaukee area???? That could make a mile and a half of walking or biking a bit unpleasant… :c

*kicks Milwaukee Humane Society*

*but gently because they're still a Humane Society and that rocks*

You could always apply, right? :D And then decide??

Rain? Rain isn't the problem. The problem is the TEN FEET OF SNOW WE GET STARTING IN OCTOBER. One time we went away for the weekend and came back our house and couldn't get through our driveway. Snow, snow man. Damn Wisconsin.

I'm wondering if push comes to shove I could beg other people that live in the area for a ride. I just want this job jesus.

I applied anyway because the position is an adoption agent and a person who works around animals a lot and it's the perfect starter for the whole animal world and hell, I need that job. I need it like I need sliced bread. Or bread, in general. We'll see *sigh*. I only have two work experinces to put-my job I had at the barn I rode at and babysitting my aunt's kid over the summer so. WE SHALL SEE.

…er. It tells you how irretrievably California I am that snow didn't even occur to me, OTL. :'D It's not entirely my fault; I lived in Cardiff for five months and London for four, and I was like, "FINALLY, I'LL GET A REAL WINTER," and then it snowed all of twice. And the second time, it didn't even stick. We were sad. :c

tl;dr HO SHIT TEN FEET OF SNOW I DON'T EVEN

As far as I can tell, the Midwest is basically Multi-Seasonal Apocalypse Preparedness Camp.

YAY applying! *fingers securely crossed* If they're looking for students, I can't imagine they'll expect too much experience… and speaking from my own life, the way you spin it in an interview is half the battle. >__>''

I didn't get the job D: which sucks monkey-urrrghhhh never mind I won't finish that swear. But it sucks but also not?? Because the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the only days I had off to actually get there, were the days the place was closing early so I'd only be able to work like max. four hours. I'm gonna shoot for the milwaukee one and hope for the best!!

and oh god two months ago it was freezing, now it's blistering, and i don't know what winter will bring
