Temeraire meets Sherlock Holmes? Please? He's been having Lawrence read Watson's stories in The Strand to him, he's a big fan, and he wants to meet the Great Detective.

Yes, I know the timeline doesn't match up. Sue me. OR...dragons live a really long time, right? So, one of Lawrence's descendants has been reading him Watson's stories...

That... is a fascinating request. *ponders* Now I need to go actually look at some Holmes fic to see if I can capture the feeling of both that and Temeraire.

And damn, whose perspective am I going to write this from? It can't be either Holmes or Temeraire, really -- I am just so not qualified to write from the POV of a century-old world-travelled dragon or Britain's most perceptive and insightful detective.

Fortunately, there's Watson. And/or whoever is Temeraire's captain now. *grin*
