Following my decision to make at least one new recipe every week, I looked over this week's recipe email from Good Morning America and settled on a variation of their healthy, relatively ( Low-Cal Chicken Linguine Alfredo. )
Coincidentally, we had linguine Alfredo tonight. Not as fancy as yours, nor was there any attempt to make it low-cal -- alfredo sauce from a mix packet, and we added sauteed ham & onions for pseudo-carbonara. I had 2 servings, Russ had one, and we froze the leftovers in lunch-sized portions. Yum!
Definitely yum. I was rather surprised at how easy it was to prepare -- which was probably silly, since I've made cream-type sauces before and they're generally a piece of cake. I'm a strong proponent of learning how to make the sauces myself. (Now if only I could figure out how to properly duplicate the Asian garlic chicken noodle sauce that Pasta-Roni discontinued... *grin* )
