After I got my laptop devirused, I never got around to reinstalling Garmin's GPS software or the high-detail maps-on-CD which you select to upload to the GPS receiver. I found the software CD, but so far I haven't found the maps-on-CD. Thus, I'm tidying frantically, hoping to find that bloody CD before Saturday morning... *eyeroll* *crosses

1. Find out if it's the windows installer crashing. Try installing something else.

2. Maybe we can get around the setup routine?

I don't think it's the Windows installer. I had installed the base Garmin software less than ten minutes before. I think what I'm going to try doing is uninstalling the whole thing and then trying to reinstall, after I get home.
