You know, I could've sworn someone on my flist mentioned cabins at or near Mesa Verde National Park. I just got my reservations for the night camping at the Grand Canyon, and I'm looking to put forward reservations for Mesa Verde as well, but I can't tell which place I should look into. *cough* I saw on the news the other day that the spot they have as "Four Corners," with the place you can stand on so you'll be in all four states at once? Is actually about two miles off. They put it there back in the 1800s or something, and their navigation was slightly off. No word yet as to whether they're going to move it.

So *evil grin* are you going to the touristy place, or are you going to navigate via GPS and find the actual spot? Inquiring minds want to know.

Also, where are you staying in Moab? Because staying in the same place would be cool. We have a motor home, so if you're tenting it, we can stay in the same campground.

I could tent it easily enough in Moab. I'm hoping to find a motel somewhere near Zion, though, as after a plane ride, a night's camping at the Grand Canyon and a bunch of hiking about, I'll no doubt be sweaty and foul.

Do you have the GPS coordinates for the actual Four Corners? I'm bringing my Garmin GPS receiver to record my tracks, so I could probably hike to wherever it is. Of course, as I'm bringing running shoes rather than my steel-toed work boots, I'll need to be a wee bit careful with the hiking.

And now I'm finding out that The Place Is The Place, GPS be damned. So...I don't even know. LOL
