Grrrr. Name?

I need to come up with a somewhat clever name for a plant-based superheroine in the Dr. Horrible 'verse. "Briar Rose" and variations thereof are already on my mind, but I'm not wholly satisfied with it. Any suggestions?

doctor horrible, fic

Hmm... Foxglove, maybe? Darling Clementine?

I'll comment again if I think of any more.

More: Morning Glory, Heliotrope, Lily of the Valley, Mayapple, Virginia Creeper (a vine)

*facepalm* And now I'm thinking of the heroine Lily of the Valley's speech patterns.

"Like, omiGAWD, that is like, so horrible! Take that, evil villain dude!" Lily puffs spores off her palms. "Totally bogus."

... of course, that may be just as much camp as I want. *contemplates*

My City of Heroes character was Wild Iris. I think the "Wild" part works with a variety of plants to make them sound ominous.

Or there's always Venus Flytrap.

Now I find myself thinking "Irish Rose". "Irish Rose went wild today in a anti-criminal spree..."

... naaaaaah. *grin*

The first thing I thought of was Wild Irish Rose, the alcoholic... beverage. *shudder*

Botanic-elle?

Slaughter Lily?

The second one, maybe, but the other two seem a bit more like villainess names. : )

I'm no help, unfortunately, but I am deeply pleased by the phrase "plant-based superheroine." :)

Thanks! Said superheroine's only jumping in for a cameo to move the plot in a particular direction, but who knows? Maybe she'll make a reappearance someday in other fic.

I can't believe nobody's suggested Tiger Lily.

Then, there's Violetta (once again, old-fashioned but with the emphatic -ta at the end).

If you want to be weird ::looks at you askance:: there's Clematis (which means she'd have some tres weird horticultural 'rents).

Have fun,
H.

As it turns out, said superheroine was only there for a brief walk-on cameo, but I ended up going with Lily of the Valley. She kinda fits the egotistical Captain Hammer mold quite well... *grin*
