I'm looking towards this bike trek from a distance of less than a week now, and ... honestly, I feel excited but a touch apprehensive as well. There's this anticipatory thrill mixing with the nervousness of the unknown, like I'm perched almost at the tipping point on top of a steep, snowy slope, unable to see the bottom but knowing it'll be a hell

That's quite a ride! Yes, definitely try to keep on top of your water intake, dehydration is no fun.

I'm actually half thinking it may have had to do with allergies. Especially since even after I got home and had plenty of water (and downed an Advil), the headache only dulled and I found myself strangely congested. Blah.
