I originally wrote this, hmmmm, about two and a half months ago on my Hawaii vacation. It's meant to be the first part of three, maybe more, interrelated Heroes short stories about things that take place post-season 1, but what with getting sick on vacation and then being burned out from jet lag when I got back it and the rest of the stories kind

Ooooooo! Ooooooooo! I was wondering, where is he going? Where is he going? Where is he--awesome!

I like how you have Candice feeling trapped in one of her own illusions and that she's loosing herself bit by bit. I always loved that throwaway line to Mica, about how she is fat and ugly in her real fom and the other that maybe she really is that dowdy middleaged black lady. I'm curious to see where this will lead.

Something to keep in mind is that, for now, these bits are all going to be just snippets from the various characters. For example, two of the other pieces I've got in mind so far concern Mohinder and Peter.

It's all kind of a "well, where are they NOW" ensemble thing. I don't know whether I've got continuing storyline for Candice. We'll have to wait and see. : )

Ooooh, cool. :D I was wondering to myself, "Wait, didn't Nathan punch Niki, not the other way around?" And then it was Candice, not Nathan, and everything made sense. :)

And reading it again, knowing the twist, I love all the little clues you left that could be construed as just Nathan being his conflicted self, dealing with the aftermath of the explosion, when in fact it's Candice. Trying to pretend nothing has changed since the explosion ... studying the news ... flying not being an option anymore ... so cool!

Great fic, I look forward to seeing more! :)
