I want to comment, but right now my mind is too busy complaining that in yet another fic, Red and Green are gay. Where are all the straight Red and Green? There are more reasons that Leaf can have to not be in a romantic relationship with Red and Green beside "They're gay ( ... )

Before you reply to the part about Leaf's charisma, I want to say that I have noticed her charisma in the eyes of Gold. He was attracted to her shell at first, then fell in love with her as he gradually saw the raw power in her personality and how she's just like Red in that power. Without the Gold perspective however, it's kind of hard to hold water and just feels like generic strong female character #3.

Nggh, I'm picky with Leaf, sorry. I'll leave a comment not about Leaf and her two counterparts: Silver cannot get laid ever? Dude, Gold has no idea how red hair fetish is burning in so many fans right now and Silver's tsundere just spiced it up. Give him some curves and I'd do him. That was Gold's perspective though, the not be able to get laid thing, so excusable.

I can't edit my comments, so I'm using another comment space: Red = a guy without common sense who went to Mt. Silver wearing a short-sleeve, not short.

And to clarify the criticism level I use: the more professional I deem a work is, the more picky and detail-centric I get. Going down a level means I focus less on details and give more global rating and shorter comments.

I'm not sure if you're referring to the lack of straight!Red and straight!Green in my fics or a dearth in the fandom as a whole... If the former is the case, I've yet to write my obligatory "Leaf and Green try their hands at a relationship but fail because Leaf loves traveling and being free and Green is too practical/has responsibilities" fic, so I can understand that it seems like I don't write straight!Green or straight!Red (because I haven't yet). Anyway. I meant this fic as a "spin-off" to burnt bridges and melted. Since melted ended with Green and Red getting together and Leaf leaving for Unova, this fic was meant to pick up where it left off. Hence the perpetration of the gay!Green and gay!Red thing.

I like Leaf because I believe that she's a strong young woman. That being said, I haven't really gotten into her headspace yet (I'm hoping I finally can in The Harder They Come). I find her wanderlust fascinating and am now just starting to explore why she possesses that trait. All this being said, I'm not sure what's missing in ( ... )
