What does it mean when someone calls someone else a "dog", when in fact that person is a human and not a dog at all...? Is it a case of mistaken identity...?

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you're referring to that post Larry made. He didn't mean... Er, he was using the term as an analogy. Does that make sense?

Yeah. Well, I mean... he wasn't joking, per se. He was using a dog as an example to highlight my, er, dog-like... characteristics.
