Totally adored this episode, even tho it was total crack, and I've even got that Klaine feeling back -- completely drowning in Klaine feels -- and then I had to listen to Sam tell Spencer that he should join Glee, looking up to Kurt's *basically' homophobic brother Finn (no longer with us) which ultimately WORKS, mind you, as opposed to when KURT himself, spoke to Spencer, and Spencer said that he didn't want to join Glee Club and it had nothing to do with being gay or not being gay, it was b'c he just thought that Glee sucked.
I know that I shouldn't care this much, but why should Spencer be looking up to Finn, rather than, say, looking up to Kurt, or just doing it himself? For some reason, this is driving me insane!!
But still, got to give Glee some props for getting me to actually be so excited about Klaine again!!
(And yes, I DO know that Finn ultimately got better, but he spent the majority of his time on Glee not dealing well with the whole issue of homosexuality...)
The majority of his time on Glee? Really? Unless I'm missing something, the only time Finn could be construed as homophobic was Season 1 and maybe early Season 2. That's hardly "the majority of his time on Glee".
Also, I think actually describing Finn as a homophobe is stretching it a little in the first place. He was more clueless, ignorant, and dominated by peer pressure than truly homophobic.
You're right. On both counts, actually. I was just so annoyed at the time, I wasn't truly thinking straight -- and the writers continuously had Finn saying ridiculously ignorant or inappropriate things about any and every subject under the sun (mostly, I believe, b'c they had already used him effectively as that kind of mouthpiece before and thus, they probably assumed, rightly, that the audience would not be surprised if he ended up saying something inappropriate at just the wrong moment yet again. I.e., blurting out how Sue's baby was 'retarded' or yelling down the hallway for Santana to just come out of the closet.)
Albeit, it might have been growing up in Lima just didn't give him the right tools with which to counter a crush from a boy PLUS a dose of homophobia... Because, had Kurt just been a pretty girl he wasn't into, he would have known how to brush him off. And, but of course, he could never bring himself to just come out and say something directly to Kurt about Kurt's feelings towards him, b'c the entire thing made him
( ... )
To be honest, I cared more about the looks between Kurt and Blaine (and the way Blaine had to repeat that Sue was forcing them to kiss, like who is he trying to convince here?) before and after the kiss, and the touches during it, than the kiss itself. Those spoke volumes without them really having to say anything at all. (And props to Chris and Darren for being able to convey all that, wow

I didn´t watch the previous episodes since the only thing I still care about wasn´t there (Klaine). But of course I had to watch this episode after seeing all the gifs of that glorious kiss. *__*
The Sue the Klainer plotline is full of crack, and I still don´t know if the writers are teasing us fans or calling us crazy obsessed women who would actually kidnap their favorite couple in order to make them make out for our enjoyment.
Anyway, at this point of the last season I don´t care as long as Klaine remain together and happy.
The New New New Directions kids seem nice, but there´s not enough time left for me to invest in caring about them. Sorry.

They usually have the new episode a couple of hours after it aired.
You´re welcome. :)

The best part was the kiss in the elevator.
We also got to hear them (the kids) actually sing. Especially Roderick. Great job with "Father Figure".
