Thanks for the post! It's funny - in another video from the his time in Paris - it's an interview on the street and it's posted on Chris Colfer News on tumblr - they, I think, ask him if he knows any French songs. He names one and the interviewer asks him to sing it. He says no - that his greatest fear is public singing. So, no matter what we do with petitions, he'll probably never do a live concert, but I really do hope this gets him to record an album. I'm pretty torn between wanting him to do Broadway and wanting him to do pop songs. But one song I would love to hear is Music of the Night - the whole thing - and with him singing it seriously instead of the version we got of the snippet on Glee, which was supposed to be funny and to make us think Kurt couldn't pull off that song. Now Chris doing it - and acting it out in song - would be magnificent. We all know he can do it!

I think Chris's voice tends to fit Broadway songs or ones like A House is not a home.

Lol the irony of the Kurt doing Music of the Night actually showed that, well he could do it :) It was just a conventional choice to do. But yeah I love a whole version Chris singing that.

The broadway stuff he's done on the show have been my favourites. And even though I liked his Beatles covers, I think he would be better off not to include them. Chris doing a tour is never going to happen. He's much more comfortable doing things that can be polished up in post-production. I'm fine with that; everyone has their own style.

I think getting the rights for doing a Beatles song might be too difficult anyway. My favourite of his Broadway songs have been As If We Never..., The Boy Next Door and Being Alive but if he could do his own version of Rose's Turn (like Kurt did) I think that would be awesome.

I'd love him to do an album. His broadway stuff has been my favourite and I love the ones with both his registers. I'd adore him to do 'Vois sur ton chemin' from the film Les choristres but that's probably not likely :P

Well he did say in an interview he knew French songs so...you never know ;)

My favourite broadway songs of his have been As If we Never... The Boy Next Door and Being Alive. Though if he could do a Chris version of Rose's Turn that would be amazing!

I think they're my favourites too, though I'd love to hear him do Defying Gravity again because I think his voice has changed and improved so much.

Oh yeah that would be good too. Especially given how much of a Wicked fanboy he is :)

I hope fans won't take this as a guarantee that he will make an album. Even if this gets like 50,000 signatures. There are a lot more factors that play into it. He would have to get a record deal for starters. It's not just up to him wanting to do one.

I could see him recording songs but I don't see him going on tour like Darren.

I see Chris on TV, in movies and on Broadway maybe.

I don't even see Lea going on tour with her album though so who knows?

Yeah I thought it would be best to note that petitions will not guarantee this. I mean Chris is busy enough already never mind all the other factors.

With Lea she is a stage performer. She grew up on Broadway on Matt and he's doing a tour. But yeah for some reason I can't imagine her doing it *shrugs* But then again I never would have thought she would write a book... I think Naya and Amber would.

Let's be real, Lea is not writing the book herself. She tells someone her story and that person does the actual writing. lol

Lol that is what I was thinking too :P She tweeted though a couple of days ago that she was finished writing the first two chapters or something and enjoying writing more. I kind of hope she is being truthful and she is writing it herself otherwise that would piss me off more if she was taking credit away from the actual writer (not that I'm going to buy it either way but you know it's principal of the thing :P)

Chris doing an album is not that difficult, every Broadway singer has an EP out there eventually. If its a genuine labor of love of songs that he's comfortable with I would love for him to do one.

His vocal range is remarkable so a mix of pop, American songbook and Broadway woukd be nice.
