Okay, Haven't read the stuff before this in this series, but clearly need to, because this is amazing.

As someone whose partner has been in another country for 6 of the last 7 months because of the wonderful world of fucking grad school and is just a few weeks from her return, this hits very close to home. We do this every year, for big chunks of time, and we're pretty good at it. But it's exhausting, and this last chunk of time has been hard and god, yes I'm pining and it's totally like this, just without the burning waffles and despair.
