Chapter 00 (Prologue) - the Secluded boy vs the Prince
“Congratulation Yamada! Again… your test mark are the highest. Please keep it that way okay.” Yuya Sensei said as he hand Ryosuke his Math test paper.
“Arigatou sensei.” Ryosuke take the paper and bow his head a little before he walk back to his own seat.
“Uwa… Sugoi ne Yama-chan. As always your mark is the highest!” Hikaru who his seat just next Ryosuke exclaimed.
“No need to feel overly excited Yaotome-san, you should consider about yours first.” Yuya interrupt them. “Take your paper and reflex your mistake.”
“Hai~” Hikaru walk to his teacher’s desk and take his test paper. He take a glance at it and goes excited. “Sugoi… mine are also improved! Maybe I just get smarter!!”
“Anoo… Yaotome-san, 44 is not a mark that you should feel happy with.” Yuya said nonchalantly.
All the student in the class burst out laugh seeing Hikaru’s craziness. And Hikaru… he can only lower his head while walking to his own seat. “Omedetou.”
Hikaru turn his face toward Ryosuke. The latter is smiling at him while saying ‘you already do your best right’. He chuckles and nodding his head. “Yeah, I already did my best.”

“You don’t have to help me Hikaru, I can do this myself.” Ryosuke tries to stop Hikaru from helping him doing his duty but knowing his best friend best, just saying ‘you can’t’ won’t stop him. Stubborn? Yep, so much.
“Hikaru just ignore it and already take half of the notebook and carrying it out from the class. Ryosuke shrugged and take the rest notebook and follow Hikaru from behind.
“Excuse us, is Yuya sensei here?” Hikaru said when he open the door to the staff room with Ryosuke standing quietly behind him.
“Yeah, I’m here.” Yuya reply from far. “Please put that book here.” Yuya’s ordered as he pointed his finger toward the desk beside him.
Hikaru nod his head and walk to where Yuya ask them to put the notebook is. “Nakajima-kun, you need to think seriously about your study. Recently your mark was dropping rapidly.” Ryosuke and Hikaru heard Yuya scolding his student.
“This is your last year Nakajima, if you still like this then I don’t have any choice but to report it to your father. Think about your future seriously. And… remembers to attend the extra class after school today, I’m expecting you to comes. You can go now.”
Yuto shrugged and let out a heavy sigh before he walk away without saying anything. When Yuto walk pass Ryosuke, Ryosuke can feel the latter intense glare at him. And he? Though that he realize it, he was afraid to look back. He just avert his gaze to his teacher in front of him.
“Ah great, your already here Yaotome-san. I want you to attend a special Math class today after school.”
Hikaru widen his eyes, dumbfounded hearing the sudden news. “What~! Oh no… I don’t want too.”
“Why not, beside that class only have two student in it. The student who gets the lowest actually. You will like it, trust me.” Yuya said while smirking.
“Oh, and thanks for bringing this notebook here.” Yuya added more.

“No way that I will attend that class.” Hikaru stated firmly.
“Just go.”
“Eh,” Hikaru turn his head to his side. “But you…”
“Don’t worry about me, I will go home first on my own.” He said nonchalantly. “Like Yuya-sensei had told you, maybe you will like the class, so just try it.”
“Yeah, I can totally imagine him torturing me in that class.” Hikaru creased his face while imagining it, how terrible he will be tortured by their teachers later.

“Yamada! Oh my god~ thanks goodness that I meet you here.” Yuya said while panting. It seem like he run to get here. Ryosuke who just finish packing his things turn to look at his teacher in wonder.
“Is there anything you want from me teacher?” He asked.
“Yeah, could you please take my place in teaching today?”
“Eh, t-take your place?!” Ryosuke exclaimed Shockley. “But w-why?”
Then Ryosuke was more shock when his teacher suddenly bowing his body in front of him while begging. “Please… just today okay, take my place and teach them Math. I have something seriously important to do now! Please… I will treat you something later as a reward.”
“Okay, I will do it for you sensei. Just… could you stop bowing now? I’m embarrassed.” Ryosuke give up. He always loose it if someone comes begging to him. He just couldn’t reject it, also he can feel the other student stare are all to him now. So by saying ok will end the drama before it get worse right? Thanks to his teacher who suddenly appear out of nowhere with such a request.

The situation in the tutorial room was so damn silent yet everyone can feels the tension. Hikaru’s eyes is at Ryosuke while Ryosuke just continue writing on the blackboard and the other student which is… Nakajima Yuto just ignoring whatever Ryosuke write and explain on the board. He is busying himself with his phone. Texting his lover maybe.
“I take back what I just said about this class. I never knew that this is what he planned for todays, no wonder he said I will like it.” Hikaru commented while looking at Ryosuke who is busy making an explanation about some equation on the blackboard. “Hey, you better focus or sensei will torture you for real after this. Consider this as your good luck because Ryosuke is the one teaching us today.” He warn him and the latter sigh while closing his phone lid.
“Mind your own business.” Yuto take his book and pencil and start writing whatever Ryosuke write on the blackboard.
“So that is how you solve this kind of question.” Ryosuke finish his explanation and put the chalk down. He turn his body facing his two student. “D-do you have some question?” He asked with his head lowered down looking at the teacher’s desk.
“Yeah, I do have one.” Yuto raise his hand.
“Hai, Nakajima-san… what’s it?”
“Why are you so arrogant?” He asked sarcastically.
Both Hikaru and Ryosuke were shock with his sudden question. “Hey, you… why did you said that!” Hikaru already standing from his seat with an angry face. What is wrong with this guy?!
“I-I’m not.” Ryosuke answered slowly.
“Heh~ but in my opinion you are arrogant. Never greet other people, always on your own~ you must be thinking that no one is on your level right. That is why you never get involved with other student right. You even teaching us math now? As expected from the school smartest student, even our teacher leave his job to you. No wonder you are ignoring other student. Sooo full of yourself~” Yuto said sarcastically while chuckling.
Ryosuke is unable to reply to Yuto sarcastic words. He just shut his mouth and standing still on his place. “What a person like you knows about Ryosuke!” Hikaru exclaimed enrage.
“That’s enough… I’m out of here.” Yuto pack his things and leave the room.
“Hey, wait! I’m not finish here!” Hikaru try to catch Yuto but he was been hold back by Ryosuke who is shaking his head. “Let him go… beside, I’m already finish teaching.” Ryosuke said.
“He is true, Hikaru… half though.” Ryosuke said while flashing a plain smile on his face. “Maybe that is how other student thought of me… so arrogant and full of myself.”
“Saa… lets go, we should also leave.” Ryosuke pick his things and put it inside his bag. Though that he said like that… in the inside, no one knows how hurt he is. He wanted to cry yet he can’t. He won’t cry in front of Hikaru.

That is how Ryosuke face his daily life. He always avoid other student, the only student he talk to is Hikaru because the latter have become more like his own older brother. Ryosuke is a nerd who love to study so much. He always think that with being good in study he will have a brighter future.
But Ryosuke also realize that… being only good in study is not helping him so much in his high school life. Too focus on studying for a long time making him to be not so good dealing with other people. He always afraid that, what he say will make them to hate him. That is why when Yuto said that he is arrogant… he never denies it. He can’t, because he, himself thought that it’s true.
Unlike Yuto who is totally living in a different world then him. He is an active student. Sooo… good in sport, rich young man. His late grandfather own their school and now his father is the principal and his mother is the director of their school. So in other word… Yuto own everything inside the school and he can do whatever he want. He also good in dealing with other people especially a girl. A womanizer and he was called the School Prince by his fan.
So Ryosuke can’t blame Yuto for saying that he is arrogant. The latter can do anything he want including insulting someone he dislike it.
Ryosuke walk out from the school library. In his hand there is two new books that he just borrow from the library and he so excited to read it while rolling on his comfortable bed at home. But his passion cease when Ryosuke bumped with Yuto who was busy chatting with a group of female students in the corridor.
Ryosuke walked past them while ignoring the noise they make. However, Ryosuke can feel that Yuto is staring at him and that make Ryosuke to suddenly want to turn around and look at him to confirm that, is it true that Yuto is staring at him… again? But unfortunately the voice of a certain person stopping Ryosuke from doing that.
“Mou, Yuto-kun~ you are supposed to accompany me… not flirting with those girl!” Chinen Yuri whined while crossing his hand on his chest.
When Chinen comes, Ryosuke no longer feels the stare and he quickly walk away. He can never stand it, watching Yuto together with Chinen Yuri. Why? Because he didn’t want to see them acted lovey dovey. Yeah, readers… Chinen Yuri own the School Prince, Nakajima Yuto.
When Ryosuke is away enough from them, he sigh in relive… “Seriously, I can never stand them…” He commented and continue walking to his own class.

The loud sound of rain outside school buildings has making the voices of students who were in the vicinity of schools difficult to be heard. Ryosuke look up at the dark sky above him. The rain is still pouring heavily and didn’t show any sign that it will stop in any hours.
“Haa~ what should I do... Hikaru is at home sick and I have to go home alone under this heavily rain.” Ryosuke sigh and open his umbrella. “But lucky that I didn’t forget to bring my umbrella today.”
Ryosuke is about to leave the school ground when suddenly he see another student also waiting for the rain to stop. Ryosuke hesitated at first, but then he brave himself to go near that guy. “Umm… I don’t mind sharing my umbrella’s with you Nakajima-san.” Ryosuke said.
“You don’t mind, but I mind. I don’t want to share the same umbrella with you. I’m going to wait for the rain to stop.” Yuto said while looking at the sky.
“But I don’t think that the rain will stop soon.” Ryosuke added more.
Yuto roll his eyes and clicked his tongue. “Go away~ I don’t need your help”
“Did you hate me?” Ryosuke suddenly asked. Actually he, himself don’t know why in this situation he suddenly wanted to ask that question. So not right… But what he should care now, his mouth already say it. He can’t take it back.
“Yeah, I hate you.”
“Is it because I’m so arrogant.”
“Yeah, maybe…” Yuto just answered Ryosuke question nonchalantly.
It’s useless to talk like this with this guy. “You knows… maybe you right. I’m arrogant. But that is all because I’m afraid. It’s because I don’t know what I should say to other people. I’m afraid that I will hurt them.” Ryosuke try to make an explanation.
“So?”
“So, I’m going to leave this umbrella here.” Ryosuke put his umbrella beside Yuto. “If you want to use it, then go ahead… used it. If you don’t want to, then you can leave it there.” Ryosuke said then he start walking from the clean and dry building out to the heavy rain with his bag covering his head.
Yuto creased his forehead. “Wait, what are you doing?”
“I’m going to run under this rain of course.” Ryosuke answered and start running as fast as he can. When he reach his home, he already drenched in wet and get a scold form his mother for doing something crazy like that.

“Ohayo~ eh? Hey chotto!” Hikaru shocked when Ryosuke open the door with a pale face and wearing a mask. “Ohayo~” Ryosuke greet back less spirited.
“Serve you right. This is what you get when running under a heavy rain yesterday.” Hikaru scold him.
“You know?”
“Of course I know… my house is just next to yours. So of course I will know if there is a silly guy running under the rain without umbrella.” He answered sarcastically. “Are you sure that you are okay?” He asked more with a concern face. “You look pale.”
“I’m okay… just a little colds that’s all.” Ryosuke answered and start walk out from their apartment. “We better hurry up or we will be late.”

Ryosuke cough for the fifth time that morning. He can feels that his body temperature is rising and his head start to spin. Ahh~ maybe giving him that umbrella is not a very good things to do. Ryosuke thought. He regret it now. He never knows that giving someone else his umbrella and let himself running under the rain will led to something like this. Wanted to look good but end up worse… I need to get some rest.
“Ryosuke, oi Ryosuke… are you sure that you are okay?” Hikaru asked for the ninth time that morning. He is damn worried seeing Ryosuke getting worse and worse every hours.
“I just need some rest. That is all, I will skip the next class.” Ryosuke get up from his seat and walk out from his class.
“Should I come with you?”
“No Hikaru… you better stay and learn. I’m okay, I can take care of myself.” Ryosuke reject Hikaru’s offer and leave the class heading toward the infirmary.
“Ah~ why is the infirmary so far away… I feel like want to collapse right now.” Ryosuke whined as he walk as fast as he could. He don’t care about the poor student he bumped through along the way. As soon he arrive in front of the door, he didn’t waste any time and rush inside because he really, really did feeling that the whole world is dancing in his view.
“Sensei… I’m going to use the bed until the next class. My head is spinning so badly.” Without waiting for a reply from the school’s doctor, Ryosuke already on the bed resting his body.

Yuto close the door behind him slowly so that the person in there won’t realize it. He sigh heavily and walk away. Half way to his class, he meet with Chinen who seems to be searching for him earlier. “Ah, Yuri… did you search for me?”
“Yeah, suddenly I saw you disappear from the class so I was a little bit worried. And… I ask Okamoto-kun, he said you are going somewhere.”
“Souka~ it’s doesn’t matter… I just going to the toilet for a while. Saa, let go back to class.” Yuto walk to back to his class followed by Chinen behind. I’m just repaying his kindness… yeah that is all.

He hot sun rays coming from outside the window is burning up his face. Ryosuke blink his eyes for a few time before he can fully open it. He get up and sit on the bed. The earlier rest manage to reduce his colds a little. But still, he need some medicine to fully recover. Ryosuke do some stretching with his head and arm. “I think that is enough.”
When Ryosuke turn his body to get down, his hand suddenly get in touch with something located right beside his pillow. Ryosuke pick it up. “Hmm… what’s this?” Ryosuke examining it. One look like a Panadol and another one looks like a letter. Ryosuke put the Panadol aside and open the letter.
I’m sorry;
That Panadol will make you feels better.
From, the School Prince.
Ah and… thanks for the umbrella, I already return it. I put it inside your locker.
Ryosuke fold the letter back and take the Panadol. He smile and said; “Apology accepted.”
“Wait, how he knows that I was here?” He asked and then shrugged. “Maybe I walk pass him earlier when I was on my way here. I didn’t pay attention to my surrounding that time… yeah that’s make sense.”
Ryosuke get down from the bed and walk back to his class. He put the Panadol and the letter inside his pocket. He don’t want Hikaru to found it or else, it will be hard for him to explain it later.

“Gomen Yuto… earlier student council meeting ended a little late than usual.” Chinen apologize as he rush toward Yuto who is waiting for him under a shady tree not far from the gate.
Yuto smile to him and ruffle his soft hair. “It’s okay… I enjoy watching the girls walking out from the school. This is the best spot to watch it.” Yuto said, and chuckles when he see Chinen pout his lips.
“But I really, really want to go to the bookstore today. There is a book that I need to buy.”
That voice sounds familiar. Yuto turn his head toward where the voice come from and he saw Ryosuke walking out form school with his friend Hikaru beside him. So he is okay now. He thought.
”No, Ryosuke… you need rest. You are not fully recover yet. That book could wait till tomorrow.” Hikaru scold Ryosuke who wanted to go to a bookstore with his condition.
“Wakatta~ then I won’t go…” Ryosuke sigh in defeated. Few second before he walk pass the gate, he manage to steal a glance towards Yuto and for his surprise, it seems like Yuto is saying something to him. He can’t hear it but with the way Yuto mouth moving, he can guest what he is saying.

“Ryosuke what wrong? Why did you stop walking?”
“Ah, gomen~” Ryosuke run toward Hikaru who is already a few step ahead him.

However, Ryosuke can feel that Yuto is staring at him and that make Ryosuke to suddenly want to turn around and look at him to confirm that, is it true that Yuto is staring at him… again? But unfortunately the voice of a certain person stopping Ryosuke from doing that.
“Mou, Yuto-kun~ you are supposed to accompany me… not flirting with those girl!” Chinen Yuri whined while crossing his hand on his chest.
When Chinen comes, Ryosuke no longer feels the stare and he quickly walk away. He can never stand it, watching Yuto together with Chinen Yuri. Why? Because he didn’t want to see them acted lovey dovey. Yeah, readers… Chinen Yuri own the School Prince, Nakajima Yuto.
When Ryosuke is away enough from them, he sigh in relive… “Seriously, I can never stand them…” He commented and continue walking to his own class.

The loud sound of rain outside school buildings has making the voices of students who were in the vicinity of schools difficult to be heard. Ryosuke look up at the dark sky above him. The rain is still pouring heavily and didn’t show any sign that it will stop in any hours.
“Haa~ what should I do... Hikaru is at home sick and I have to go home alone under this heavily rain.” Ryosuke sigh and open his umbrella. “But lucky that I didn’t forget to bring my umbrella today.”
Ryosuke is about to leave the school ground when suddenly he see another student also waiting for the rain to stop. Ryosuke hesitated at first, but then he brave himself to go near that guy. “Umm… I don’t mind sharing my umbrella’s with you Nakajima-san.” Ryosuke said.
“You don’t mind, but I mind. I don’t want to share the same umbrella with you. I’m going to wait for the rain to stop.” Yuto said while looking at the sky.
“But I don’t think that the rain will stop soon.” Ryosuke added more.
Yuto roll his eyes and clicked his tongue. “Go away~ I don’t need your help”
“Did you hate me?” Ryosuke suddenly asked. Actually he, himself don’t know why in this situation he suddenly wanted to ask that question. So not right… But what he should care now, his mouth already say it. He can’t take it back.
“Yeah, I hate you.”
“Is it because I’m so arrogant.”
“Yeah, maybe…” Yuto just answered Ryosuke question nonchalantly.
It’s useless to talk like this with this guy. “You knows… maybe you right. I’m arrogant. But that is all because I’m afraid. It’s because I don’t know what I should say to other people. I’m afraid that I will hurt them.” Ryosuke try to make an explanation.
“So?”
“So, I’m going to leave this umbrella here.” Ryosuke put his umbrella beside Yuto. “If you want to use it, then go ahead… used it. If you don’t want to, then you can leave it there.” Ryosuke said then he start walking from the clean and dry building out to the heavy rain with his bag covering his head.
Yuto creased his forehead. “Wait, what are you doing?”
“I’m going to run under this rain of course.” Ryosuke answered and start running as fast as he can. When he reach his home, he already drenched in wet and get a scold form his mother for doing something crazy like that.

“Ohayo~ eh? Hey chotto!” Hikaru shocked when Ryosuke open the door with a pale face and wearing a mask. “Ohayo~” Ryosuke greet back less spirited.
“Serve you right. This is what you get when running under a heavy rain yesterday.” Hikaru scold him.
“You know?”
“Of course I know… my house is just next to yours. So of course I will know if there is a silly guy running under the rain without umbrella.” He answered sarcastically. “Are you sure that you are okay?” He asked more with a concern face. “You look pale.”
“I’m okay… just a little colds that’s all.” Ryosuke answered and start walk out from their apartment. “We better hurry up or we will be late.”

Ryosuke cough for the fifth time that morning. He can feels that his body temperature is rising and his head start to spin. Ahh~ maybe giving him that umbrella is not a very good things to do. Ryosuke thought. He regret it now. He never knows that giving someone else his umbrella and let himself running under the rain will led to something like this. Wanted to look good but end up worse… I need to get some rest.
“Ryosuke, oi Ryosuke… are you sure that you are okay?” Hikaru asked for the ninth time that morning. He is damn worried seeing Ryosuke getting worse and worse every hours.
“I just need some rest. That is all, I will skip the next class.” Ryosuke get up from his seat and walk out from his class.
“Should I come with you?”
“No Hikaru… you better stay and learn. I’m okay, I can take care of myself.” Ryosuke reject Hikaru’s offer and leave the class heading toward the infirmary.
“Ah~ why is the infirmary so far away… I feel like want to collapse right now.” Ryosuke whined as he walk as fast as he could. He don’t care about the poor student he bumped through along the way. As soon he arrive in front of the door, he didn’t waste any time and rush inside because he really, really did feeling that the whole world is dancing in his view.
“Sensei… I’m going to use the bed until the next class. My head is spinning so badly.” Without waiting for a reply from the school’s doctor, Ryosuke already on the bed resting his body.

Yuto close the door behind him slowly so that the person in there won’t realize it. He sigh heavily and walk away. Half way to his class, he meet with Chinen who seems to be searching for him earlier. “Ah, Yuri… did you search for me?”
“Yeah, suddenly I saw you disappear from the class so I was a little bit worried. And… I ask Okamoto-kun, he said you are going somewhere.”
“Souka~ it’s doesn’t matter… I just going to the toilet for a while. Saa, let go back to class.” Yuto walk to back to his class followed by Chinen behind. I’m just repaying his kindness… yeah that is all.

He hot sun rays coming from outside the window is burning up his face. Ryosuke blink his eyes for a few time before he can fully open it. He get up and sit on the bed. The earlier rest manage to reduce his colds a little. But still, he need some medicine to fully recover. Ryosuke do some stretching with his head and arm. “I think that is enough.”
When Ryosuke turn his body to get down, his hand suddenly get in touch with something located right beside his pillow. Ryosuke pick it up. “Hmm… what’s this?” Ryosuke examining it. One look like a Panadol and another one looks like a letter. Ryosuke put the Panadol aside and open the letter.

That Panadol will make you feels better.

Ah and… thanks for the umbrella, I already return it. I put it inside your locker.
Ryosuke fold the letter back and take the Panadol. He smile and said; “Apology accepted.”
“Wait, how he knows that I was here?” He asked and then shrugged. “Maybe I walk pass him earlier when I was on my way here. I didn’t pay attention to my surrounding that time… yeah that’s make sense.”
Ryosuke get down from the bed and walk back to his class. He put the Panadol and the letter inside his pocket. He don’t want Hikaru to found it or else, it will be hard for him to explain it later.

“Gomen Yuto… earlier student council meeting ended a little late than usual.” Chinen apologize as he rush toward Yuto who is waiting for him under a shady tree not far from the gate.
Yuto smile to him and ruffle his soft hair. “It’s okay… I enjoy watching the girls walking out from the school. This is the best spot to watch it.” Yuto said, and chuckles when he see Chinen pout his lips.
“But I really, really want to go to the bookstore today. There is a book that I need to buy.”
That voice sounds familiar. Yuto turn his head toward where the voice come from and he saw Ryosuke walking out form school with his friend Hikaru beside him. So he is okay now. He thought.
”No, Ryosuke… you need rest. You are not fully recover yet. That book could wait till tomorrow.” Hikaru scold Ryosuke who wanted to go to a bookstore with his condition.
“Wakatta~ then I won’t go…” Ryosuke sigh in defeated. Few second before he walk pass the gate, he manage to steal a glance towards Yuto and for his surprise, it seems like Yuto is saying something to him. He can’t hear it but with the way Yuto mouth moving, he can guest what he is saying.

“Ryosuke what wrong? Why did you stop walking?”
“Ah, gomen~” Ryosuke run toward Hikaru who is already a few step ahead him.
