Glad to have be of assistance! ^.^

Aha! Now I am getting more familiar with how you're providing information in between the present and the flashbacks. Sometimes it is better to present it in a very non-linear fashion.

How is it possible that one of the cutest scenes in the story so far turned to something rapidly dramatic and tense? Uh, wow, Kurogane, that really shows how much Fai means to you.

Fai, the idiot who just saved his life, he would not allow him to die like this, not for his sake.
- This line really stood out to me. Very characteristic of him.

Interestingly I think Kurogane shows his most, uh, romantic side of him, when he simply tells Fai "After all, I made a promise." Again, actions speak louder than words for him, in any incarnation. ^.^

Kurogane and romance is not an easy thing to handle. I love our discussions about how he expresses romance, and I think that helps my characterization. With Kurogane, I usually write a scene with him being romantic; however, I always change it.

Thanks for the feedback. It is always helpful. Now I am going to bug you on MSN.

I am glad it is easy to follow. I wrote this shortly after reading 'The Garden of Forking Paths,' a short story by Jorge Luis Borges. Within this story, they talk about a author who created a book that no one understood, as it was more like a puzzle than a book. Anyway, no one understood his story and he died as a failure. I really hoped I avoided that fate. Although, I still might fail at updating.

wow! reading a book writen by one of my compatriots! that's an honour! although I have to admit that sadly, I haven't read too many tales/books/novels by borges. that's one of my pending activities...
but this is one of my favorite fics so far. lately, I have been losing interest in KuroxFai (I'll go to hell, I know), so I just keep reading veeeeeery few fics. yours is one of them.
PS: that book sounds a lot like Rayuela, by Julio Cortazar, but he was well known, and liked, as well as the book, which I highly recomend by the way!

I read his story in a collection of Latin American short stories. It also includes a short story from Julio Cortazar, 'The Night Face Up.' Both him and Borges are so good at suspense. I definitely want to try a novel by Cortazar. I have a confession. I have not read a novel from front to finish all year. I really need to pick up a novel again.

I will try to update quicker this time around. It might be weird, but I consider the fact that this is one of the few kurofai fics you read as very high praise. :)
