Um... I'm no political expert or anything, but... If he's going to stand on that platform, shouldn't he at the very least give some, oh I don't know, examples of HOW he's going to go about these things? -__-
Because smart voting isn't actually perceivable in the Philippines. *eyeroll* They'll vote for the personalities first before they vote for the platforms. Because, you know, their lives will get better just by watching that person's pretty face. Hell, even the middle-class are divided and some are still so easily swayed by emotions and going for this guy even if he clearly was bullied into declaring his candidacy. And on what basis? On the fact that his mother, the former President (who kinda didn't do much during her term either), died? If he's doing it just because his parents were "part of history", then he better get off the boat and carve out a name for himself first. I can't really see the country moving anywhere with someone who lacks confidence in himself and needs the echoes of his parents' names to back him up.
LOL! That's like the newest way to express your deepest condolences.
"I feel so bad for him. His mother just died."
"I know...we have to do something about it."
"Well, since gift baskets aren't enough now, he can have the Presidency." :P
Or something like that. It's good joke material too. XD
I heard that whole "be a part of history" way too much during his campaign and believe me, it's just as bad in the Philippines now. They're playing the whole "be a part of history" card even if we all know, deep down, that his mother didn't do a pretty good job as a President either. It was just eclipsed by her spirituality.
(I liked the Apl.de.Ap episode, being a BEP fan, and the ones with Sam Milby and G. Toengi/Ryan Eigenmann because they were shot in the town I grew up in; I actually used to pass the house Ryan and G "lived" in on my way home every day. Other than that, it's much too saccharine or melodramatic most episodes.)
... wait, this is assuming you're referring to the TV show, right? lol. Because if so, I preferred "Dear Ate Helen" only because "Ballade pour Adeline" is a really good piano piece. :D
No, see, that might be true. XD I've heard one too many rumors that I'm supposedly this unforgiving, evil bitch. Bwahahahahahahaha! XDDDDDDDD
(I...liked that episode and I think that one other where Smokey Manoloto and Benji Paras were acting. But the rest are just loads of crying fests that induce nothing but eye-rolling and gagging from me.)
...and yes, I was definitely referring to the show. Hehehe. It's like dinner for every yaya, I swear. LOL. And "Dear Ate Helen" had more taste for me. :D
