The hairstyle is so close to the original, volume 12!Near, it's creepy D: But you know, compared to how Obata drew him in the 2008 one-shot... not so much. Even if we were to include the fact that Bakuman is heavily stylized to simplify everything.
I actually love Bakuman's art - it's entirely different from DN's, but the angles and preciseness of the lineart is... brilliant. He's come a long way. For pretty obvious reasons, Obata's work in-between DN and Bakuman didn't amount to much, but since he joined forces with Ohba again, it feels like his art has gotten the juice again :D I love it! also, the storyboards in-between the chapters in the tankoubon have won me entirely over <3
