The other day I saw a random article about chemistry between actors, which I don't care for because I personally fail at noticing that in movies. But it made me think about chemistry in RP, as I have experienced that one. I've played as Near with many canon Mellos during my RP life, but I didn't feel chemistry with all of them (Alex's Mello is the

And it's not just Sigil; remember when we played the AU aftermath of Econtra? That was pure chemistry for me as well, every tag kept me glued to my chair. Even if the characters had both came from different backgrounds, they still clicked for me like they had clicked in Sigil.
I'm surprised, though (albeit also pleased), that a wonderful writer like you enjoy playing with a non-writer like me sdxfgfgg
So, thank youuuu (>o<)
Perhaps a part of what makes them so fascinating is the unfinished and unresolved tension. When Mello died, I felt so unbelievably frustrated, as if someone had made you smell a delicious cake, and right when you're about to try it, it disappears right when it touches your lips. It's... UGHHH. I really needed to unleash that tension in RP, haha.
I know the feeling of playing with someone you like, who plays a character you like, but it just doesn't click. There's something that doesn't fit, and it's hard to know what; you just know that it's not ( ... )

It's reallty wonderful when that happens, I know the feeling very well.
Sometimes, even if people are strictly following canon and being as IC as they can, every character will always have something different, no matter how subtle. So sometimes the way A plays this character might click better with your playstyle than the way B plays them, even if technically both are IC. And likewise, B might click better with C's playstyle than with yours.
Haha, I guess that it's important to get a few facts related to your characters sorted out before playing with people you don't know well, otherwise, accidents like the one you described might happen (^^;

I can't really say much more without just repeating what Alex said but I love you both and =w= <3 There's a reason you're both two of my favourite Mellos ever.
And and, now that I feel more confident about Mello I hope that he and Near will have awesome chemistry together when I manage to start playing better dfsf /wants school to finish already I have ides huhu =3=

The comm has been a bit dead (x_x)
The last post in the main comm is from my Near, three days ago. The rest of posts in my friendlist have been hiatus/drop messages in the ooc comm and a log Grell started. Perhaps everyone is waiting for the reset, since it happens tomorrow.

Many times, I've seen people who tend to join communities together, always playing with each other no matter what the comm. I can understand why they'd want to keep playing with each other, if they have better chemistry with each other than with anyone else. I think it's lucky to find a definitive RP partner (^^)
I myself have no official RP partner, but I enjoy playing with new people.
I'm glad that you like this topic! (^^)

Especially when it comes to Pairings, because some ships just ... happen.
If this is the case,I'm always happy and think the characters, who are alive somewhere inside of us, really fell in love. I'm far too romantic XD"
The first case of that happened to me in Adstring.
God knows, how Beyond Birthday could ever have this month-lasting almost-romance with a girl from FFVII, but while it lasted it was so full of... I dunno, it was lovely to watch. Simple sentences look different, in such a situation.
Something really weird, are the Mikami-Interactions I had at Dear_Mun.
I once wrote with another Mikami and somehow, we came to ship... Mikami with Mikami? o.O
I interacted with another Mikami, too, who was perfectly IC and very nice, but I simply didn't feel the same.
My problem is, that Player-Chemistry affects me in-game. My characters always act a little too shy, when I interact with a mun who I don't know how to feel about XD"

The most strange ships can happen in RP when an interesting chemistry is found, indeed. There was a time when I shipped Near x Near *SWEATDROPS*. Okay, that one is SO EVIL, but it was a fun-to-play AU in that certain game, haha. Not like I could explore it that much because Near didn't want to cooperate, but oh well.
Chemistry depends on many things, I guess. It's always the most subtle details that make a player different than another.
I know that it can be difficult sometimes, but IC and OOC shouldn't be together. If your character isn't canonly shy, he shouldn't be shy in any game! (^^;
