When I need validation as to how awesome my local doll community is, I look at photos from our Halloween meets. (not like I need any more validation!)

This year, the attendance was not record breaking, but the costumes definitely were.

This is an event I organized with my fellow ManikaManila moderators. ♥ It was a huge labor of love and I'm so happy it turned out to be a success. :) More than 100 people attended. There were tons of new faces. Hopefully with this, more people will participate in our meets ( Read more... )

Yesterday, a bunch of us at ManikaManila gathered to meet a new member, Kristine. :)

ManikaManila has always wanted to have a summer meet, complete with a pool and all. Now that we're bigger than we've ever been, we felt it was finally time to hold it. After a number of venue problems and lots of stress (mostly on Kuri's part), Sun-kissed, the ManikaManila Summer Meet was able to push through!

And I'm soooooooo glad it did.

Last Saturday was a doll-ful day for me.

First of all was a minimeet...which, as usual, was anything but mini. Hence, the term maximeet was coined by Tin (miztylaneous).
