I got my UP application form today. I saw the website and I have sooooo many questions. XD I'm going for Visual Communication. What subjects do Freshmen get there? Do you have to pass UPCAT and TDT, or is it UPCAT or TDT

(not in UP CFA, so these may be inaccurate XD)

For the bachelor's program, you have to pass UPCAT and TDT. If you don't pass UPCAT but pass the TDT, you can apply for the Certificate program. If you get good enough grades, I think you can switch to Bachelor's already.

There's a summer workshop leading to the TDT--a lot of people recommend it because it'll be good practice with pencils.

Well, if you don't pass UPCAT then go elsewhere then transfer in your 2nd year? XD; Because I don't know if they allow 'retakes'.

UPCAT isn't really that hard (yabang?). Of course, I took that 4 years ago so I don't really remember much. O_O

charsequil got the infos right! If you want to go straight to the bachelor degree, you HAVE to pass the UPCAt and TDT. But if you don't pass, you can still take the TDT but you can only go to the certificate course. to upgrade to the bachelor degree through there, you have to maintain a certain average for 3 years (i think.) so you'd have a total of 5 years in college if you pursue the bachelor degree from the certificate course

TDT is usually on the 1st week of May or end of April.

Enroll ka sa summer art work shop so you can get some techniques. Start of workshop is on the 1st week of April. 1 Month lang yun. Worth it sya. :D

Ate Krinkle's right. Be sure with your answers... coz they use a machine to check them. Our teachers at experts say that if you answer a number and then erase it, the machine will still read it and consider the number wrong. So shade lightly daw XDDD. And according to our teachers that the checking is right minus 25% of your wrong. so... yeah. G'luck na lang sa'tin TT____TT
