Maybe real threat detection is too hard that they have to come up with a way to waste more money to pretend like they're working on the problem.

That is just complete and utter bs. Maybe people get nervous flying or something. Good lord. Pretty soon we're going to have to get to the airport at least 5 hours early just to go through security, take off our shoes, give a blood sample, give a urine sample, do Dance Dance Revolution to verify that we can follow directions in a timely manner, step on the Wii thing to make sure we're balanced in the head, then take a stress test.
